5. Meet your Destiny

*Violence and mention of a.buse.* Angel The words were stuck in my throat as Alpha Aaron’s hand wrapped around my neck, putting enough pressure to prevent me from breathing. Spurts of fur surged on his arms, and his gleaming eyes zeroed in on me as he released a loud guttural howl. “You fvcking mutt! Do you think a little b!tch like you can reject me? You can’t! But I won’t have a low creature such as yourself as my Luna. The Moon Goddess will give me someone worthy of me and my pack; a second chance mate to correct the flagrant mistake of this match!” he yelled, the words radiating from him in waves of anger. My hands reached up slowly, and since my body was too weak to fight, I failed to push his strangling hand away. “Angel, he will reject us. There is no way we will survive rejection. We are too weak now with this much wolfsbane. I can hardly feel my tail! He can’t do this!” Sia whimpered in my mind, her voice weaker than a whisper. She was right, our chances of survival were low, and the Alpha didn’t seem to care about it. I, on the other hand, had always loved to challenge the odds, and I would fight with everything I had to survive and to be able to go back home to Stella again. “I, Alpha Aaron of the Opal Moon Pack, reject you, Angeline Chantara, as my mate and Luna!” he spat, letting go of my neck. My eyes clenched close as the severe pain of the rejection crushed through my bones and my soul. Before I could catch a breath, his fist met my face, “I am not your mate anymore, b!tch! Now I can ruin this pretty face! And have you for the only thing you seemed to be useful for!” His words were enough to break our bond, since he was an Alpha and I had no rank. Talk about equality! Soon, searing agony spread through my whole body. Still, through the physical and spiritual pain, something inside me smiled. Everything in me was broken, yet something broke free. So, those were his true colours. That was the man I was about to mate with. Thank Goddess I rejected his as.s Yes, the final words were his, but I was the one to reject this high-on-ego-Alpha’s a.ss! “Why are you smiling, crazy b!tch? I will wreck you! I am looking forward to making you bleed, tearing you to shreds with this!” he spat, pressing his stiff shaft against my clothed leg and making me want to vomit. “That will be only the start, wh*re! I will ram it into you until you can’t walk anymore, force you to take my c.ock until you collapse. Then, I will wake you up and do it again. Over. and. Over! You will regret it, fvcking b!tch, you will curse the damn day you were born!” My hazy mind focused on his anger instead of his words. He was foaming. Sia was trembling in my mind, her fear flowing through me. I kept repeating these words in my mind – I had to make it through. I had to survive anything and everything for Stella and for myself. A knock on the door made the Alpha exhale sharply, cursing under his breath as his weight was lifted from my body. Inhaling deeply for air, I tried to open my eyes, but I was too tired, too hurt. I only had enough energy to do one thing: survive. “What do you want?” Aaron asked someone after opening the door. “I saw the way your little mate left the dining room, and I had an idea of what was happening. She isn’t worthy of you, and you have no use for her, but I do. Sell her to me,” a man said. What? Sell? Who was this man? My weak mind took a while to register and recognise his voice; that was the man that was staring at me downstairs, the weird Alpha that arrived late — Alpha Blake. "Maybe that hazel-eyed Alpha, Grant, can save us, Angel," Sia murmured in my mind. "Sia, no one will save us. If we don't find a way out of this by ourselves, we are lost," I told her. “Blake, what in the sixth Pit of Hell are you talking about?” Aaron’s shocked words only confirmed my assumption. “I am offering you an opportunity: sell me the girl. I have a better use for her than you do. She isn’t worthy of you or your pack, my friend,” I heard Blake’s words, and panic flared into my mind. No, he couldn’t take me. I couldn’t be away from my sister. And what the hell this sicko wanted to do with me? Who buys people? I tried to call for Sia, but she was unreachable, too weak to come to the surface of my mind. My body was growing heavier, and it was so hard to remain awake, but I had to. I had to hear everything and mind-link Julia. A single face popped into my mind. All I could see was Stella’s sweet blue eyes and her strawberry-blond hair, and it broke my damn heart even further. Tears trickled from my closed eyes. I couldn’t leave her, no! I had to find a way to mind-link Julia and tell her to protect Stella, to watch her while I was away — until I managed to escape whatever this Blake guy had planned for me and came back. “No! She is my Omega now!” Aaron declared. So that's what he had in mind? To make me an Omega? I had nothing against this plan as I always respected Omegas and their hard work. “You didn’t even hear how much I am offering, plus being an Omega is not punishment enough for her. I and all other Alphas know what she did, Aaron; she brought you eternal shame! I will give you two hundred thousand gold coins for her and give her the treatment she deserves: you know the Vampires near the border of my pack, don’t you? They are always looking for pets, for blood dolls. I will use her, auction her in one of their infamous auction houses, and give you the rest of the money.” Blake told Aaron, making a weak gasp part my numb lips. An auction house? Two hundred thousand gold coins? That was a lot of money, but no amount could buy a person! This was absurd, obnoxious! Those were the last words I heard before I blacked out completely. Opening my eyes with difficulty, I looked around. It was all dark, and Sia’s vision wasn’t yet working; we were both too weak for me to use her senses in my form. Every single muscle of my body hurt, and sitting up or even closing my hand seemed impossible. Something was moving steadily under me. So, I was in a car? Was Blake taking me to the Vampires’ auction house? I didn’t matter now; all that mattered was Stella. I had to mind-link Julia. “Sia, please. Please, listen to me. We have to do it,” I called her, and a quiet whimper filled my mind. She was in so much pain, even more than me. My poor wolf had all her hopes dashed, her heart broken. She wanted a mate so much. “I will try, Angel,” she murmured back. After many failed attempts, Sia was about to give up, but I couldn’t have it. “Sia, we made it. We survived his rejection. We are strong together, Girl. We have each other. We will survive whatever comes next and find our way back to Stella,” I reassured her, trying to make her understand how strong she was. She didn’t need a mate – especially not that s.hitty one. We didn’t need a mate. I was back to my right mind and had reclaimed myself. “We are strong! We can do it, Angel! It will work!” she reassured me back. Sia and I focused as much as we could, channelling all our energy and strength to the task at hand, and after long minutes of struggle and a searing headache, we finally could reach Julia’s mind, “Julia, please. Alpha Aaron sent me away. Please take care of little Stella. Please tell her that I love her. Protect her, look after her. Tell her stories before she goes to bed.” “I will, sure. Alpha Aaron told me that I can’t communicate with anyone outside our pack, that I can’t say anything about you. He threatened my family and me. I don’t understand what is happening. Angel, where–” I heard her worried voice before passing out from exhaustion once again. ~ * I woke up with a start as someone threw some cold liquid on my face. Taking a lungful of air, I opened my eyes slowly and looked at the surroundings. I was in some kind of warehouse, tied to a chair. My arms were behind my back, hands tied together, and I could barely move a muscle. Alpha Blake and a few other wolves were surrounding me. As I regained my bearings, my gaze assessed the room once again, a little slower this time. Besides Alpha Blake there were four men in Elite Warrior uniforms. One of them couldn’t stop smiling, while the other ones looked very serious, arms crossed in front of their chests holding a very serious stance. “So, can we have a go with her? She is such a doll; why can’t we play with her before he comes? Such a fvcking waste of good as.s,” the smiling-elite-warrior dude asked, striding closer to me and sniffing me as if he were a dog in heat – Goddess, help me! He made me gag hard, and I was this close to showing him how this doll here vomits. Alpha Blake shook his head, pushing the man away from me. “No, you i***t! Even though it is tempting, we aren’t to do anything to the girl until he arrives!” Who is the ‘he’ they mentioned? A Vampire from the auction house? The Alpha walked closer to me and held my chin forcefully, lifting my face, “I will ask him about it. After what I did for him, he must let me use the little she-Wolf! We can have some fun before you are given away. Don’t you want to be with a real man, Sweetheart? Aaron is only a joke, a peacock-pup who thinks he is an Alpha,” Blake flashed me a disgusting smile. “Go to hell!” I replied through gritted teeth, which earned me a punch in the face. Yet, I couldn’t get over the satisfaction of saying those words. I might die or suffer, but I won’t let anyone silence my voice and treat me like a puppet anymore. I would go down fighting, screaming. After punching me again, he pulled the hem of my shirt up, looking intently at the place just above my right hip where my birthmark was. “It really is in the shape of the moon. We definitely got the right b!tch!” he chuckled, and his men imitated him like mindless pixie monkeys. What did he want with my birthmark? “He is here, Alpha!” one of the men announced and the Alpha smiled, looking at me. “It’s time to meet your destiny, Sweetheart!”
