Mike looked below from the helicopter and saw the beautiful island which was Melvin's hideout. This was the fourth place Angel had shown him. He couldn't understand why Angel didn't go after Melvin with all the information and power he had. He also didn't buy his story of falling in love and wanting to protect his family.
Angel certainly had a hidden agenda which he wasn't letting on. He would go with his plans and work with Vin, just as Angel had requested but he would not trust him. He needed to make his own plans just in case Vin tried to double-cross him at the last minute.
