Ella didn't know what to say to Melvin. She just kept staring at him while her heart was beating fast. Eventually she couldn't look at him anymore. She stood up and ran to the kitchen.
She closed the door of the kitchen when she got in and placed her hands on her rapidly beating heart. "What is going on with me?" She asked herself.
She knew she didn't love Melvin because she was still in love with John. But why was her heart beating fast just now? She couldn't even bear to look at Melvin anymore because she felt shy. These things only happened when she was with John, what was happening to her?
Melvin couldn't understand why Ella ran away. This was the first time he had ever bared his heart out to her. Was he so bad that she couldn't even hear him out?
