Ella breathed a sigh of relief when she heard that there were no cameras. Ever since her experience when Melvin first caught her in Atlanta, she had always been wary and believed that Melvin always kept cameras in his rooms.
Melvin's father regarded Ella for a while and said, "later in the evening, come out of your room. You can say you want to see the sunset or the stars or whatever. Use whatever you feel would work for you and make sure you are outside before Melvin gets back.
I will make arrangements for the phone to be handed to you. Is that clear?"
"Yes it is" Ella replied. She stood up the moment Melvin's father did and walked him to the door. When he had gone, she went to sit sadly on the bed. She did not want to betray Melvin again but she didn't have any other choice.
