Rose's p.o.v

I was in the hospital with Jack for a couple of hours until he woke up. The Dr said there is nothing wrong with him. Weird that he was in so much pain that he passed out. Dad came and picked us up and we dropped him off where he told us to. We didn't speak about what happened though. He was kind of pissed at me for taking him to the hospital, he said I should have called Cody instead, but how was I supposed to know that? He passed out. What was Cody going to do? He isn't a damn Dr. I might be pissed off at Jack and not want to be with him until I get proof, but I don't want him to be sick or get hurt. After we dropped Jack off, Dad tried to get info out of me, but I don't even know what the hèll happened. That was just the weirdest thing ever and it was scary and I hope I never have to go through it ever again.

I shower and put on some comfortable clothes and my mind drifts back to everything that happened since I spoke to Margaret. Jack claims that she is lying, but why would she lie? Why does she hate me so much? Really thinking about things though, that woman hates everyone. She doesn't even like Candace and everyone loves Candace.

Speaking of the devil, a text message comes through from her.

*Candy Cane* - Rose, I need to talk to you urgently....In person..

*Me* - Want to meet up today?

*Candy Cane* - Yes, as soon as possible.

*Rose - Let me get ready, want to go eat?

*Candy Cane - Yes, your mom's bakery in an hour?

*Rose - See you in a bit.

Candace's p.o.v

I hate that I have to lie and sneak away from Cody, but Jack can't go on lying to my bestfriend. It is girl code to stick up for your bestie and Jack and his whòre of a mate can kiss my aśś. I saw her eyeing my man like he was her next dessert. Jack better get her under control fast. She is already up to no good. I saw her and my father in law go inside his office last night. Everyone knows that my father in law is a notorious cheater, but to cheat with your new daughter in law is a new level of low, but then again, he has no boundaries. He has hit on me and has made comments about my looks before, but luckily Cody has always shut anything down before it got out of hand. He even threatened him, so he doesn't bother me anymore. I also shut him down the times he tried to hit on me. He told me all women are the same and that everyone has a price, he quickly found out that it wasn't true. He has also hit on Rose, but that got him nowhere. Jack has no idea who he lost and who he is ending up with. What a dumbaśś and I am so happy to tell Rose everything. She deserves better and I hope she finds a real man, not a little boy like Jack who thinks he can have his cake and eat it to. Ugh, I just need to figure out how to get out of here with no guards. Luckily Cody is in meetings all day, so I think I have to recruit my mom for mission tell Rose the truth.. She loves Rose to pieces.

I call mom and she is willing to help me. I put on a perfume that hides my scent and I hide in the back seat with a blanket thrown over my body so the guards do not detect me and mom drives off the territory. "We are out baby girl." Mom yells and I jump in the front seat as we talk and head to the bakery. Mom agrees with telling Rose the truth and she can't believe what a jerk Jack is. "He is just like his father Candy, please be careful with Cody." She tells me. "Cody knows that I will reject him mom. He will lose me so it is up to him if he wants to go there." I tell her. I will never bend over for a man and allow him to walk all over me and my mate knows that so if he wants to fùck around, he can, but he will be a single, rejected man. I know Rose feels the same, not about the rejected thing cause she doesn't know what we really are, but she will dump Jack's sorry aśś.

We get to the bakery and she is already sitting here waiting for us at our favorite table. Mom rushes to her before I even can. "Rosey dear, babygirl. I am so happy to see you. You are glowing." Mom says. They talk for a bit and mom goes to look for Rose's mom and grab some pastries for home while I talk to Rose.

"We can't be gone for too long Rose, I snuck out. Cody has no idea I am here." I tell her and she frowns, but doesn't say anything. She thinks it's weird that I always have guards with me. She once asked me if we were in the mafia or if someone was looking to hurt me. "Rose, you know that I love you like a sister and we always tell eachother everything." I tell her. She nods her head. "I know some things, heard other things and I feel like you should too." I say, grabbing her hands in mine.

Rose's p.o.v

Candace grabs my hands that are shaking. "I think I know where you are going with this Candy cane. Go ahead." I tell her. She takes a deep breath. "Jack is cheating on you." She says and my heart drops. I was hoping Margaret lied, but she has no need to. What would she get out of it? "So the things his mom told me weren't lies like he claimed they were?" I ask her one last time just to make sure. She shakes her head. "At dinner last night his mom confessed what she said to you and Jack was pissed off because she did that, but what she told you is the truth." She tells me. Tears begin to gather at the corners of my eyes. I can't let them drop. I don't want anyone to see me being weak. "He is with Her? Camila? He moved her in?" I ask all of these questions and she just nods her head, telling me everything I have to know. "That's why he stopped bringing me over. Is it true she's also pregnant with his baby?" I ask her. "She is, she actually just announced it last night." she tells me and wow, just wow. "He's a piece of shìt Rose. You deserve better, a real man, not a little boy and let me tell you, they would be angry if they knew I was here telling you, but I am not sure how honest he is being with you and I can't walk around here knowing that he is playing you and not say anything. It hurts me too. He is related to the man I love the most and knowing that I have to see him with this female disgusts me." She says and I nod. "Thank you for sneaking out here to tell me the truth. You are a true friend. He came over last night and he apologized and begged me not to believe his mom. He claimed that she is miserable and wants everyone else to be. He promised that he only loves me..Then something weird happened. He started getting like a stomach pain. I don't know, but he was in pain and he collapsed. I called the ambulance and they took him to the hospital, but the Dr said there was nothing wrong with him. He was actually really upset that he ended up in the hospital. He expected me to call your man at that terrifying moment." I tell her everything that happened last night. She just laughs. "Yeah that is weird, but Rose do not believe him okay. You deserve better than him. He is getting what he deserves though. Look Rose the day Jack met Camila, we were at a party He didn't expect to meet her, but he did and they had sèx that very same day. Jack is gross. Well Karma hit him back that very same day as soon as he finished fùcking her. We all found out that at the place that Camila lived in, she was sleeping with alot of the men there. Even men in relationships, she would try to seduce them. I remember a couple of women came up to me when they found out that she was coming back home with us and thanked me for getting her out of there and away from their men. Not that I had anything to do with it. But they would rather she lives with us than with them. Jack was upset to find this out about her, but I mean overall he still brought her home." She tells me and I am disgusted. "Oh my god, I need to get tested Candy Cane, what if he gave me an std." I tell her feeling like I am going to puke. I grab my phone and text me dad. I need my parents help right now. "Do what you have to do Rose." she says. "Malika and I were going to recruit a group to investigate but thanks to you now I don't need to. This sùcks so bad Candy, I have been with him for years. We are having a baby. What am I going to do now?" I ask her. "You will be a wonderful mom Rose. You don't need him and his drama. He needs to grow up." She says and I agree. Jack won't keep playing me. Her mom returns and tells her they have to go back already. "I love you and we will keep in touch. Jack doesn't affect our friendship." I tell her and she nods. We hug and say goodbye. I hang out at the bakery for a bit and help around and then decided to go back home. I have alot of thinking to do.

Jack's p.o.v

I get dropped off outside of the pack so Rose's dad doesn't come inside. The last thing I need is for him to know where I live. He's human, but he is a bit scary and can get shìt done if he needs to. I have also seen him and Rose's grandfather hanging around the past Alpha's from Black River. He must be a powerful human to be around them. I wonder if he knows about werewolves.

I shift and go straight to the packhouse. Last night I passed out because I felt what my wolf told me are the pains of your mate's betrayal. I can't fùcking believe Camila.

I shift back and head inside and stomp up the stairs. I break the door to her room down and she looks at me in shock. "What the fùck did I tell you Camila?" I yell at her. "Jack, what's wrong?" she asks me, looking completely afraid. "I told you you were mine and not to forget that you are my mate. Who did you fùck last night?" I ask her. "I...I... Jack, I'm sorry, you left to be with her and I needed you. My pregnancy makes my hormones go crazy. I needed someone to help me cùm." She says and I am both disgusted and turned on. I must be one sick mòtherfùcker. "Take your clothes off Camila. I will show you who you belong to." I tell her and her eyes light up. She is just as sick as I am.

We both lie here nàked. I just made my mate cùm multiple times. This is what she wanted. "Camila, don't do that shìt again. I just went to talk to Rose, nothing happened. I can't have you disrespecting me like this. What will pack members think if they find out that the Alpha's brother is getting cheated on by his mate?" I ask her. "No-one will find out, I can guarantee you. The person I fùcked doesn't want anyone to find out." she says like it is nothing. I want to ask her who she fùcked, but I am also not sure I want to know who it is. I will go on a kìlling spree. "You already know who it is, don't act stùpid." My wolf Spartan says and I just block him out. He wants me to kìll him, but we both know that I can't.

I walk out and head downstairs. I find mom sitting on a chair looking out the window and she doesn't look good. She looks pale and fragile. I am about to walk over to her, but I remember how she treated Rose and how she thinks that my pup with Rose doesn't matter and how she outed me and I decide to just leave. I am angry with her too. I need to find a way to convince Rose to stay with me. I can't lose her. I also need to find a way to get Camila to keep her damn legs closed. How did my life get flipped upside down so quickly?
