My heart has been in my mouth for the past week. Ever since Rowan had caught me in that position, I'd been on there because we haven't spoken since then.
He looked genuinely bothered at the scene in front of him and I didn't know what he was thinking. Eventually, Laurana left me and I was able to give him an answer when he asked me what I was doing.
My brain had to think very fast at that point because I couldn't tell him the truth. He'd think I was crazy.
I quickly covered it up by telling him that I had mistakenly cut myself. And I thought the wound wouldn't bleed so much.
