Of course! I had completely forgotten that today was my birthday.
Rowan stood aside to let her enter the room and I was in awe of the fact that she had remembered. I was even more shocked that she knew.
She dropped the cake on the table. The awkward energy in the room was suffocating.
It was very obvious that Rowan was confused.
“Today is your birthday? Why didn't you say anything?"
Um, maybe because I didn't remember?
“I forgot. Nat, how did you remember?" I turned to her.
It's no wonder I felt so different all day. Rowan gave me one last look before walking out of the room.
