She used to be a private tutor of English but always was very interested in detective stories. From a very young age she read Hardy boys, Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie. She was also very interested in the logistics of detective stories. She also always felt that she had a natural instinct and flair to detect lies and bad people .In 2017 a diabetic and fat person like her suffered a heart attack and the doctor kept her at home indefinitely. She lost all her tuitions and was penniless and owed money to several people. People in Kolkata unlike other places will ask for their money when they know that you cannot pay back. Same happened with her as people were troubling her for their money. This is the time she started her journey as a detective to solve crimes. This book is a compilation of all the crimes she had solved or told us as a story or an incident.
