Chapter Seven

Rein

I was up early and out to the training field before anyone was up along with the sun. Doing some laps warming up before they all get down here.

I see some starting to come down going to drop their bags by the bench. I just keep going about my way of stretching today was gonna be more hand on training than anything I planned to participate in.

Getting started once everyone was here and in their spots.

"Good morning!" I called out to them.

"Alpha," Everyone said in sync bowing their heads.

We probably spent two hours pounding out training. I was pushing them harder each day I don't need them to be soft I needed them to be ready to fight we have a large territory so therefore I have a lot of guards.

"Again! you need to prepare for the attack, Not wait till you get hit!" I yelled at them

Just then I hear my Beta calling through the link.

"Alpha, Your guest will be here in twenty minutes,"

"Alright," Is all I say back cutting the link.

"Enough!" I call out

they all stop and line up I can see them huffing they are all beat up. I'm not worried they will heal in an hour.

"We are cutting it short today, But tomorrow I expect you all on your toes!"

"Yes, Alpha!" I hear them.

"Dismissed!"

They all scattered grabbing their bags and drinks and walking off I don't usually cut the training short but I wanted to meet the rest of Matt's family.

Ever since we held that meeting yesterday my wolf has been on edge and restless that's why I was out to the training field so dam early.

Jogging back up to the house I went through the back door hurrying through the kitchen. As I came around the corner someone ran straight into me.

Standing there was one of the kitchen helpers. She was frozen in her spot with a deer caught in the headlights look.

"Allpphaaa, I- I'm s- so sorry," She stutters out.

I looked down at myself seeing I was now covered with eggs and pancakes along with the syrup.

I hold my hands up.

"It's okay I wasn't watching either,"

Just then Aunt Anna comes by.

"Sara, what happens? Oh, Alpha I'm so sorry, Here take this,"

She handed me a towel she had laid over her shoulder.

"It's okay I was rushing, I need to get a shower anyways,"

Aunt Anna just nodded then knelt she started to pick up the dishes and food that were all over the floor.

" Sara doesn't just stand crazy girl help me clean this up," I heard her say to the girl who was still frozen.

The younger girl finally snapped out of it she knelt next to Aunt Anna and started to pick things up.

"We will be out of your way Alpha, I do apologize," I hear Aunt Anna say to me.

I checked my phone s**t I got ten minutes.

"Sorry ladies but.."

That was all I said before I jumped over the two. The girl gave a small squeak while Aunt Anna ducked her head.

"Reins Blackwood," She yelled at me while I took off running.

Spinning around for a minute.

"Hey you forgot the Alpha part," I yelled back at her.

"I'll give you an Alpha young man!"

I laughed at her words I heard him mumble a few other words. I didn't have time to stop and listen.

Taking the steps three at a time I quickly got to my floor.

'Dam I need to put an elevator in' I quickly thought to myself.

Busting through my door I head straight for my bathroom. I start pulling my shirt off as it stuck to me from all that syrup.

Tossing all my clothes in the basket I jump in the shower.

"Alpha, Your guest has arrived,"

Dam it!

"Alright take them to my office I'll be down in ten minutes,"

"Yes Alpha,"

I quickly finished up. Jumping out of the shower I went to the closet grabbing clothes I was feeling over-anxious.

Running out of my room I went down the steps three at a time like when I went up them.

"Aunt Anna, If you are not too mad at me can you bring some drink to my office I have some guests,"

"Yes, Alpha, How many people?"

"There's six of us,"

"Got it I'll be right there Alpha,"

I knew I shouldn't but I just had to.

"So we back to the Alpha thing again,"

"Look here young man don't you push my buttons," She cut off the link after that.

I chuckled knowing she would give me a good slap when she came in.

Reaching my office door I went to grab the handle when I was suddenly hit with the smell of daisies.

I opened the door stepped into the room looked to my right and saw four people sitting and talking to my Beta. Once my Beta saw me he stood. The rest of them stood as well.

I walked slowly over like I was looking for prey the smell put my wolf on full alert not that there was danger but that smell was very intriguing.

Looking at the four I looked at the father then at the two women he had next to him. The one was easy to tell she was his mate by how she held his arm and also by her age.

Moving my eyes to the girl next to her and my eyes locked with hers. A low growl came from my chest.

I watched as the father stepped a little forward to block my sight of her. As the boy put his arm in front sliding her behind him. That caused another growl but this time it was louder and deeper.

She grabbed his arms stepping to the side to look around him.

When she locked eyes with me again.

"Mate," Was all I growled out.

I took a step towards her but her father blocked me His hands held up towards me.

This angered my wolf causing me to lose control I lunged for him.

He took me full on I could hear someone scream.

"Zach get her out!" is all I heard him yell. Oh no that is not taking her away.

"No! Don't take her out" It was my Beta yelling out orders

Felling another person tackling me from the side. I was fighting whoever stepped in front of me.

I couldn't tell who was who all I could feel was I needed to get to my mate.

"Alpha please calm down," It was my Beta yelling at me but I couldn't think I couldn't understand why I can't reach her and why are they keeping her from me.

"Reins, Reins you need to calm down dear, Here look at me listen to me,"

I heard Aunt Anna's voice.

I felt her hands on my face making me snap my head to look down at her.

"That's it dear just look at me, Calm down you're scaring her Reins,"

With that I stopped to look I saw her in the arms of the other women she was crying while they stood over in the far corner.

I felt a pain in my chest she was afraid of me. She must think I'm a monster and that I would hurt her.

I stopped fighting them I felt them let go of me. Watch my Beta stand behind Aunt Anna as the father rushed to the two women.

Looking back to Aunt Anna.

"Just calm down son," She said while she rubbed my arms she pulled me to the chair pushing my arms for me to sit.

Taking a breath I shut my eyes trying to push my wolf back down. When I opened them Aunt Anna was still standing in front of me.

"That's better," She said quietly.

She walked over to my Beta talking to him I couldn't hear her I was focused on my trembling mate.

I rubbed my forehead dragging my hand down over my face.

My Beta came to stand next to me.

"You okay Alpha,?"

"Yeah, Keaton I'm good man thanks,"

"Why don't you step out with Aunt Anna take a minute I'll take care of them I think they need a minute as well,"

Looking at them I see her father has her wrapped in his arms. He's doing his best to calm her. How I ached to hold her and calm her fears but then again I was the one who caused them.

Dam, that's not how I thought I'd find my mate. Truthfully I had given up on the idea of having a mate I looked for years but never found her and then she just appeared in front of me. Then I go and act like this what a jackass.

"Your right Keaton, I'll go with Aunt Anna to the kitchen, Linking me when they have settled I'll come back up,"

"Yes Alpha,"

I stand up looking at them I take noticed the boy is watching me like a hawk.

Letting out a sigh turn heading for the door with Aunt Anna right behind me.
