Barry slowly became aware of angel kisses being placed around his face. Through his closed lids he could tell it was morning. “What a nice alarm clock.” He opened his eyes to one of Jake’s serene smiles. “I aim to please,” Jake said before kissing Barry on the mouth. “What time is it?” “A quarter after ten.” “Wow.” The bed felt empty. But before Barry could ask where Jimmy was, Jake said, “Your dad knocked on the door about eight. Katie wanted her Uncle Jimmy to take her to school.” Barry groaned.
