I let out a long sigh before putting my phone back on the nightstand. Nico was giving me a deadly glare and I didn't want him getting upset right now..especially in his condition.
"Baby..my dad just asked me to represent you while you are recovering." I explained, not necessarily giving the full story.
That wasn't the only reason why my dad asked me to go.
The conversation quickly played back in my mind.
"Hello?" I answered and heard my dad respond on the other line.
"Hey Princess, I know you are busy with Nico right now..but I wanted to ask something..would you be able to attend the company dinner next Friday? I thought you could represent Nico for the evening..and Isabella called me..she wanted to apologize for her behavior if you do decide to go..." My dad spoke softly,
