“Alexander!” I exclaim.
“What are you two up to?” He asks cautiously.
“Hey, bro. My sister-in-law was just telling me about how much she loves you. Is that not wonderful news?”
I gasp, almost choking on my saliva, and smack Alejandro on his shoulder, not liking how he wants to humiliate me in front of Alexander. Suddenly, I feel a cold chill running down my spine.
He laughs, but Alexander keeps a compressed face, not impressed.
“I am kidding, she said nothing of that kind. I was just getting to know her a little more, and I am so glad that there is someone else in this house who is fun, young, and smart like me,” Alejandro adds.
“Just leave, Alejandro!” Alexander orders.
“Jeez! Why do you always be so sour? I was leaving anyway; later, Ol!”
It gets awkwardly silent
