The kidnap

The day of their marriage registration had come very soon and Mollie was all ready to go out. Marina was still recuperating in the hospital, so she couldn’t accompany her. After waving at her mother, Mollie walked out of the hospital. She always took the bus if she had to go somewhere, but that day she thought of taking a taxi. While she was waiting for a taxi, a black Mercedes stopped in front of her. Before she could know what was happening, the car door opened and someone pulled her inside. Within a minute, the car started running at a high speed. She struggled to escape but the man sitting beside her covered her face with something and she lost her consciousness instantly.

On the other end, Bruno reached the marriage office with Phillip half an hour earlier than the time. He was waiting for Mollie impatiently. Time was passing bit by bit and his restlessness was increasing in every passing minute. After waiting for another fifteen minutes also when he noticed that Mollie had not reached there, his patience started dying. He started doubting that she might not come. His face darkened and he lowered his head feeling very aggrieved. If she didn’t want to marry him then she could have told him clearly. Why she agreed beforehand and dumped him like this? He didn’t force her for this marriage, did he? The more he thought the more he felt anguished.

Phillip’s throat went dry in agitation when he noticed how restless his boss had become. He was also feeling heartache for him. This was the second time he was rejected by a woman. His anger intensified on Mollie and sneakily walked aside. Taking out his phone from his pocket, he dialed Mollie’s number, but her phone was switched off. He frowned deeply and looked down at the screen for a while. How dare to cheat on Elijah? Anger seethed inside him. He dialed Marina’s number and the call connected quickly. He heard her asking “Mr. Russel, did Mollie reached there?”

Phillip was puzzled for a moment after hearing her question. He wanted to ask her Mollie’s whereabouts but she was asking him whether she had arrived or not. What type of game was playing this mother and daughter? His anger increased a bit more and he asked fiercely “Where is Mollie? Did you drive her away to save her from this marriage?”

Marina was startled hearing his voice filled with anger and she replied immediately “What are you talking about, Mr. Russel? Mollie has long left for the marriage office. Didn’t she reach there?” Marina had bad premonitions in her heart and she started panicking.

Phillip was also lost for a second. He wanted to trust her but still, he snapped “Don’t lie. Tell me now where is Mollie. If you try to play a game with us then I am telling you, you can’t hide in the entire nation.”

Marina trembled in fear and she tried to explain “Please, believe me, Mr. Russel. We don’t dare to offend Mr. Smith. I am sure something has happened to Mollie. Please find her, I am begging you.” She started crying the moment she finished speaking.

This time Phillip couldn’t doubt her. What if Mollie was really in danger? Did she meet an accident? Suddenly a wave of shiver ran through his body and he hurriedly rushed to Elijah, who was sitting on the wheelchair dejectedly, hanging down his head. Phillip exclaimed “Boss, something might have happened to Mollie. I have called Mrs. Taylor just now and she informed me that Mollie had already left the hospital a long time ago to come here.”

Bruno lifted his head immediately and looked up at him. “What did you say?” He asked furiously.

“M-may be she met some sort of ac-accident.” Phillip got scared to see his infuriated expression and he stuttered.

Bruno became even more restless to hear him. He exclaimed, “Take me to the car.”

Phillip nodded and pushed the wheelchair to the car. The moment they got in the car, Phillip started the engine. Bruno picked up the laptop and started typing something. Luckily he brought his laptop with him as he thought of going to the office after the marriage registration. Very soon, he could see the CCTV footage in front of the hospital on the screen. He saw Mollie coming out of the hospital and standing not very far from the gate. Might be she was waiting for a taxi. Then he saw a black Mercedes coming there and within a snap of a finger, someone pulled her inside the car. He paused the video instantly and zoomed it to see the number of the car. Gnashing his teeth, he looked at the vehicle number on the screen.

Phillip happened to look back at him through the rearview mirror, but his hairs stood straight on his back to see his murderous expression. He never saw him getting so angry. By his expression, it was clear that he could kill anyone out of anger. He didn’t dare to look back again and fixed his gaze on the road.

On the other end, Bruno hacked all the surveillance cameras of the capital city very quickly and looked for the Mercedes numbered 4AC-001. After searching for a while, he noticed the car heading towards a small town near the capital city. If he could inform the police immediately then this car could be stopped in the next check post. He opened his mouth and said “Phillip, call the police and inform him to stop a black Mercedes. The number is 4AC-001. Tell the police that a girl had been picked up in that car forcefully. Drive fast to the last checkpoint of the southern capital city.”

Phillip had no idea what was happening, but he didn’t delay to inform the police and stepped on the accelerator to increase the speed. The police came to the action quickly and blocked all the exit points of the capital city immediately. No vehicle was allowed to go ahead without thorough checking.

After a while, the Mercedes reached the last check post of the southern Capital city. The driver frowned deeply to see the checking. He glanced at the man sitting on the back seat through the rearview mirror and said “Sir, checking is going on. What to do now?”

He then looked at the girl lying senselessly on the seat. The man didn’t reply immediately. After looking ahead for a while, he commanded “We can’t get caught. Turn the car and drive as fast as you can.”

The driver nodded and turning the car with a screeching sound, he started driving at a very high speed. This commotion caught the attention of the police officer who was checking the vehicles and ordered his subordinates to chase the car. After recognizing the Mercedes, he rushed to his car and asked the driver to drive fast. He informed the other patrolling police officers to stop the car. Within a few minutes, the quiet road of the city started vibrating by the sirens of the police vehicles.

The Mercedes was running speedily while the two police cars were chasing after it. Suddenly another police car came in front of the Mercedes from a narrow alley but the Mercedes managed to escape and ran away. After taking countless numbers of left and right turns and driving crazily aimlessly, finally, it’s the way was blocked by four police cars… two in the front and two in the back. But the man inside the Mercedes was adamant and he was not ready to bend down. He took out a gun from his back and pointing it on Mollie’s head, he rolled down the window, saying “If you want her alive then leave our way.”

All the police personals came out of the car and pointed their guns at him. One of them said “You can’t escape from here. Hand over the girl to us. I promise, no one will harm you.”

The man got even more furious. He pressed the tip of the gun hard on her head and snapped “Step back. If you come closer then I will shoot her immediately.”

“Wait…” The same police officer spoke again. “Do you think that by doing this you can escape from here? We will shoot you all at once as soon as you shoot her, so be wise and surrender yourself.”

A glint of fear flashed in his eyes momentarily to hear the officer but still, he didn’t back off. He sneered “I know you want this girl alive, so it’s better to leave my way.”

His gaze wandered to the police personals encircling his car. He was very anxious and beads of cold sweat dripped down from his forehead. The driver was trembling in fear. He couldn’t hold it anymore and at last, he said “Sir, I don’t want to die. I have two small kids and a young wife.”

“Shut up.” He glared at him and shouted angrily. The driver shut his mouth immediately and looked ahead in horror. Just as everyone was busy in their own thoughts, suddenly a Range Rover came running at a very high speed from the right side and rammed the Mercedes.

Bang…

Few of the policemen ran away for their lives when they saw a rapidly approaching car. The gun that was pointed at Mollie's head, fell from the man’s hand and his head hit on the side of the car door. Before he could regain his senses, several guns pointed at his head and Mollie was rescued by the police.

On the other end, Phillip’s hands were still shaking vigorously and he was grasping the steering wheel tightly. His fearful gaze was fixed ahead. He never thought that he would do something dangerous thing in his life and he was even more shocked thinking that his boss ordered him to do so. He had no idea when his boss had turned into such a vicious man.
