The werewolf girl’s words cut deeply and Roan was not able to lie himself anymore that they didn’t matter. Her bravery to speak them freely even in a situation like hers made him question everything he had come to know about her, himself and the world that surrounded them. It had started long before this moment where she stood tall and proud asking him if he had ever felt like a part of him was torn and left forgotten. These were the things he did not dare think of or allow himself to feel. They were buried deep within and after so long he’d come to believe they were far gone and forgotten.
