My Perfect Life

Sophia’s POV

Everything is just as perfect as ever. I have the best job, the best clothes, the best car and now the best bachelor in his country! .. my life is just perfect! I was always adored in front of my fans as a gorgeous model. My everyday life is as follows: breakfast in bed, light workout, a few shoots, lunch and then whatever I want after. I grew up in a wealthy family. My father holds the biggest gold mines in our country and of course he is a part of the vampire counsel too. Life has been pretty easy for me but I still put a lot of time and work into my career. 

I modeled for about 5 years after school and since then life just took from there. When I was shopping I ran into no other than King Jace while I went with my dad on a business trip. He was so dreamy and handsome I just could not stop gawking at him. I wanted him so bad so I told dad to put in a good word for me. 3 months later, no nothing from that man. Usually I would get someone's attention within the first hour, but nothing. I was extremely frustrated at the fact that I was ignored. It was a first for me. So I set myself up to go visit his kingdom. 

Like all vampire counsel members/families must do, I checked in at the castle to announce my presence before I did a shoot and of course I met up with King Jace. This time I made sure to dress to empress and did it play out. I knew he could not keep his eyes off me so I took as much advantage of this time to the fullest in front of him. 

“King Jace, thank you for accepting me into your kingdom.” I say to him 

“The honor is mine Sophia. We hope you enjoy your stay and that your shoot is successful.” he says back to me 

“An honor to hear that from you King Jace.” I say to him while bowing so that he can see a bit of cleavage.

I see him blush and look towards his brother who smirks back at him. 

“How long will you stay for?” Prince Julius says back to me 

“2 weeks.” I reply back shyly 

This has to work. My shy face always works 

“That’s perfect. We have an event coming and Jace has not chosen a partner yet, how about you join him?” Prince Julius says to me 

I see him smirk at King Jace and then look at King Jace who tries to not keep eye contact with me

“I would love to join our King Jace for this event. When and where?” I ask 

“Julius, she came here for business, I think she will have a full schedule and not have time for the ball.” King Jace says back to Prince Julius 

“No don’t worry, I am an independent contractor, I can move things around.” I say to them smiling 

“Well then it’s set, it will be in 4 days at 5pm. We will send a car to you.” Prince Julius says to me 

“Wait wait, I have asked someone else already so we will need to wait on her reply.” King Jace says to us 

What? Who did he ask? So am I the second choice? Right now I need this so I need to take this now or I will lose this opportunity.

“Don’t worry about it, if you need me feel free to give me a ring. I will wait for your call if so.” I say back to them smiling and then bow to get ready to leave 

“Jace, she is very busy right now and you know her condition. I don’t think right now would be best.” Prince Julius says 

“She is the only one I always go with so why change now?” he asks Prince Julius 

“Well now things are a lot different.” Prince Julius says back to King 

“How so?” he says back to Prince Julius 

“She has a child and a fiance .. shall I say more.” he says to King Jace 

“For now.” King Jace says back to Prince Julius 

“And for now we have an answer. So let's go with the 100% chance.” Prince Julius says 

“I’ll wait for her decision first and then get back to you Sophia.” King Jace says to me 

Damn! Who are they talking about? As I left the castle I did some research on my own. I found out they were talking about their adopted sister Kana. From what it looks like, it looks like her and Jace are really close. They are not biological siblings, but King Stephen adopted her when she was in school. Since then she has been a part of their family and even took in their last name. What makes me wonder is why does he only go to anything with only her? 

~ 4 hours later ~

“Hello Miss.Sophia?” a voice says to me on my phone 

“Yes this is her.” I say back to them 

“I am Secretary Kyle for Mr. Jace Ventalli. He would like to invite you to the black and white masquerade ball.” Kyle says back to me 

Yes this is my chance! 

“Of course I will go.” I say back to him

“Thank you. We will send a car out to you to and from the location. See you in a few days.” he says back to me

Finally, my chance! 

Since the ball, we hit it off really well. The entire rest of the time I stayed in his kingdom I was invited to other banquets, dinners and events the family had set up or needed to go to. I extended my stay after my shoot for 3 months. During that time Jace also took Kana to events too and when she couldn’t go I was next. I am not too happy with being the second choice, but I will need to be in good favor with him so that I can snatch him from her. As of now I will allow this to happen, later I will take what I want.
