JACKSON    I poured Katie a bowl of cereal. The swelling had gone down on her lip, and all that remained was a crusty scab. I took a picture of it with my phone and added it to the other time stamped photos I had saved. I had a few pictures of my mom saved on there too, taken when I snuck in her room this morning to check on her. I wasn’t sure when or how, but someday I was going to nail Daniel’s ass to the wall with those photos.   The asshole didn’t come back last night.  I knew from experience that the asshole wouldn’t show up for a week or so. He would go crash at his brother’s place or shack up with one of his side chicks.  I went in the living room and righted the coffee table and started picking things up off the floor. I found the remote in the pile of litter and flicked on the
