JACKSON  Turns out Raymond had dropped two pant sizes over the summer.  He bought five pairs of black slacks and the required white collared shirts.  He said he already had the shoes and a couple ties at home.  I had a hard time keeping my mouth shut, and not letting it slip that I too had purchased the preppy uniform in all its glory.  I would save that for Monday.  I couldn’t wait to see the look on his face.  Just the thought of how surprised he would be made my face crack into a grin.  He kept giving me sideways looks as he paid for his clothes.  “What’s up with you?”   “Nothing!” I slipped my hand into his, and he didn’t even look embarrassed or surprised, instead he curled his fingers between mine and squeezed.  “I’m just really happy.”  We wandered around the mall together with
