Life was quite difficult without any news of Tara. Days turned into weeks, and eventually I had to go to Crescent Lake with the pups. There was no point in remaining in Seattle. If Tara had been anywhere near Seattle, she would have been found by now.
King Leo and Queen Luna Amelia had been as kind as they could be. Tara was their niece, and they refused to give up the search. King Leo had even hired a few wolves of dubious character to help find her, as they had a variety of specialized skills, as well as contacts on the black market. They told me not to give up hope.
