Tara’s POV
The weeks seem to drag on forever! The stupid nurse would only come while I was still sick, to give me an antibiotic shot. Once it was certain I was on the mend, Jenny stopped coming. The only other person I saw down in this dingy basement was Benny, a child like man who would bring food and water, and that was pretty much it.
There was no longer any other she wolves down here to talk to. There was nothing to do. No television, games or books. Just lay on the mattress, miserable, dreaming of my family for days and then weeks that never seemed to end.
