It doesn’t take long for Tara’s family to come knocking at my door, so to speak. First thing the next morning I get an urgent request from Lycan King Leonard of the Emerald Kingdom for an audience. Naturally, I granted it. I had no reason not to. And I have met Leonard a few times in the past during diplomatic visits, and he always seemed a pleasant, likable fellow, if a little out of his depths. Politics did not appear to be his forte, as he had apparently been thrust into it rather suddenly.
