A Mrs. Like Her

Chapter Two

"Manik!! Leave me.. It's already 9! Dad's gonna kill me" She pushed him who was back hugging her making him confused and ran downstairs.

"Offi! One can't even romance right now" Manik ruffled his hairs and went downstairs since it was a holiday.

He sat down on the chair and seeing him even Nandini was about to sit when she heard a sharp strict voice "You are late" She gulped her saliva and looked at the sight and saw Raj peeking through his glasses.

"Really sorry dad! Actually i-" "Not a word, I said" Nandini nodded when she heard his spat while Manik too was scared and he caressed her hands under the table.

"Stand up and keep the plate away. You will not get the breafast today" Raj ordered making everyone of them stunned but none dared to speak. Cabir, Manik's elder brother looked at Navya, his wife who sighed and looked at her belly.

"Papa! The mistake was min-" Manik tried to intervene when Raj turned his face to him "I didn't ask you to say anything" Manik was about to say more when Nandini held his hands and pressed it urging him not to say anything.

"Nandini! Go to your room and sleep for hours now! There's no one to stop you, go" And Nandini controlled her tears and went away.

While everyone half heartedly had the food, including Raj and Manik was cursing himself.

After half an hour, Manik couldn't find her in the room and knew where she would have been, the terrace.

Manik quickly sneaked in the kitchen and started preparing a breakfast plate for her and even was about to add a barfi when he heard from behind "Take them more. She loves them" And Manik gulped his saliva and turned around and stammered "Dad, actually urm.."

Raj smiled and said "I know you are taking this up for Nandini! Go fast! She is really hungry" And he walked away leaving a smiling Manik behind who quickly ran to the terrace to meet his lady love and feed her with his own hands

Raj was about to enter his room when Sakshi, his wife asked "Then why didn't you let her eat with everyone else" He looked at her and said "Manners! One should always be on time" And walked away leaving a sighing Sakshi behind who smiled.

Manik find a sniffing sound and he smiled at his baby and sat beside her on the swing on the terrace and moved closer.

"If you have come just to irk me more, then I hate you" She said like a baby and turned her face around making him smile "I have come to make you eat! Open your mouth" Nandini looked at him and quickly parted her lips as she was really hungry without asking any further questions.

"Angry on dad?" Manik caressed her hairs after their breakfast was done!

"No! A little angry on him! He said the right thing! One should always be on time" She kept her head on his shoulder when he teased her "ohho! But newly marrieds can't be on time, always right? They have so much to do?" He quickly pulled her closer making her blush "Oho! Manik!!"

"Okay, my love! See, your husband is listening to your wishes! I have turned romantic too!! Just like you see in movies" She smirked and pulled him closer "Then who's stopping you from coming more close" And both shared a hearty laugh along with a beautiful kiss.
