Annoying music woke me from a very deep sleep, and I reached my hand over to shut off the alarm on my phone before I realize it wasn't there. I shot straight up in bed and became even more disoriented when nothing looked like my bedroom. The sharp stinging pain in my cheek brought last night's events back to me. Bethany being held by those guys, wanting her uncle's money back, the knife on my face. I hissed a painfilled breath and gently touched my cheek.
