“So did you hear?” Those are the first words out of Lux’s mouth the next morning when she meets me at my locker before the start of the college day. But I can also hear the sound of my brothers’ footsteps as they approach from the other side of the corridor. Her words sound ecstatic, her tone breathless with excitement.
