I’d meant to stay in college like I’d told Ascelin, Corbi and Lux, but after hearing Lou’s conversation with Christian and then the three of them ambushing me in the bathroom not even an hour later, I just couldn’t take it. I couldn’t take the risk that they’d continue to heap on the misery all day until I did something stupid like take my own life - something I have contemplated before and now terrifies Luna.
Please don’t Lei, I still need you. So many people still need you. She whispers to me when she catches the tail end of that thought pattern and I sigh, trying to put into words the all-encompassing emptiness I feel. Please don’t do that, you still have so much you have to live for. You need to live.
