PANTS AND HUFFS FILLED THE AIR AS SHE RAN AWAY AS FAST AS SHE COULD FROM SOMEONE.
Her feet starting to get tired but she had no choice but to run as fast as she could so she couldn’t get caught. She felt so helpless when she noticed that she has no place to hide. In a panic, she tried her best to look for something where she could hide. Out of nowhere, she saw an empty locker which, fortunately, she could fit.
Without hesitation, she went inside the said locker and closed it. She felt herself shaking that she couldn’t help but hug her knees.
“Pagbilang ko ng sampu, nakatago ka na…” (*On the count of three, you already hid yourself…)
She gasped, obviously frightened as soon as she heard the voice.
“Isa…”
“Dalawa…”
“Tatlo…”
“Apat…”
“Lima…”
She so terrified but she tried her best to calm down. She covered her mouth with her shaky hands so she could avoid making noises. Her eyes were wet and she wanted to cry so much but she swallow her whimpers so he’s not going to hear her.
“Anim…”
“Pito…”
“Walo…”
She squeezed her eyes close and held her breath when she heard his voice near the locker’s door. Her breath felt so heavy that it hurts her chest but she endured it so she couldn’t be heard.
“Siyam…”
She heard his footsteps slowly fading which actually made her felt a little relief. She slowly put her shaky hands down and observed the surroundings in silence. It seemed like he’s already gone so she decided to go out of the locker.
But before she could even do so, the locker opened and a terrifying face of the man greeted her.
“Sampu!”
Terrified, she screamed.
“Haaah.”
Romina let go a huge sigh as she walked side by side with these two annoying men. L was a bit concerned since this is the nth time Romina sighed.
“What the f**k are you walking together with us, you i***t of an angel?” Luciel asked, obviously pissed with Simeon’s presence.
Simeon gave him a gentle smile. “Calm down, calm down, Luciel. I am just here to walk with you until we reached the classroom, you know? And I also want to know about Romina’s condition since I already knew what happened to her when Percival attacked her.”
Luciel clicked his tongue in distaste. “It’s not your concern anymore. I am her guardian so you can just get your a*s out of our business and just continue guarding Marivic.”
“How are you feeling, Miss Romina?” Simeon shrugged Luciel off and talked to Romina instead.
“What the f**k?! Why aren’t you listening to me! I said piss off!”
“Ah-umm, I’m fine, Angel Simeon. Luciel managed to protect me and the archangel named Sachiel actually came to aid him,” Romina subconsciously answered. The three of them fell silent and Romina realized her mistake so she immediately covered her mouth and looked at Simeon then at Luciel who’s now silently walking beside her. “I-I’m sorry, I didn’t really mean to say that—”
“There’s no point of not saying it anymore. It’s not like Simeon didn’t know anything about it. Sachiel is an archangel so everyone from the Celestial Realm was already aware of what happened,” Luciel said in a monotone voice. “I don’t know what’s your f*****g business that you brought him up to me again.”
“I mean… did you manage to talk to him? It’s been centuries since the last time you talked,” Simeon told him. Of course, Luciel glared at him and before the latter could breathe a word, he said. “I know it’s none of my business nor my concern but I am just genuinely want to know the situation between the two of you.”
Romina fell silent, recalling what happened last night.
Sachiel really wanted to talk to Luciel so bad that night. I could tell. But Luciel was refusing the idea of talking to his brother that he even attacked him. Ah, what a confusing demon he is.
He said he was not affected but his voice and expression that night says otherwise.
“What situation? We’re nothing, Simeon. There’s nothing between the two of us aside from the fact that we shared the same face. We’re nothing. So, stop. It’s not your concern anymore.”
Romina could still remember how Sachiel looked sad and hurt when Luciel pushed him away like that. She’s too spaced out that she couldn’t hear Luciel talking s**t to Simeon who’s just talking to him calmly with a smile on his face.
“Pagbilang ko ng sampu, nakatago ka na…”
Suddenly, Romina heard a piercing sound that she abruptly stopped walking and held her right ear. L noticed it so he immediately asked her. “Romina, are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah…” she muttered. “It’s just that my ear suddenly heard a piercing sound—”
“Isa…”
She gasped when she heard a frightening voice once again.
“Romina, are you okay?! What’s happening—”
“Dalawa…”
Luciel and Simeon immediately turned to Romina who was not catching up to them anymore.
“Tatlo…”
They were about to walk towards her when suddenly, someone cut them off and went to Romina in a fast pace.
Romina gasped when she felt that something bumped into her as she immediately held it with its arms. She looked down and saw a child whose eyes were glistening with tears.
A flash of memories rushed to Romina’s system as soon as she saw the child’s face and as soon as she saw her muttering something, she felt herself getting weak and the only thing she could see now is a blurry vision of Luciel and Simeon running towards her.
