He already hid his wings and yet Romina still finds his feathers annoying so she got those and slammed them on his arm. Luciel didn’t flinch because demons don’t actually feel any pain such as what Romina did to him. “Next time, stop shredding. What are you? A bird? You’re not the one who’s cleaning the room, you know? And it’s not a movie. It’s a TV show.” Luciel was not listening to her instead, his attention was on her laptop, pointing his finger at the screen. “Seriously? You, humans, are actually producing movies like this?” “What? The story is interesting, though,” she shrugged. “And wait, do you know movies?” “Uh, I’m already a hundred years older than you, Romina. I lived longer than you so I knew everything.” “So I can call you my grandpa since you’re way older than my lolo and lola as well.” “I may be old but I look young, you know? Stop that and focus on your movie. “So humans do find war interesting, huh?” His attention was focused on how chaotic the action scene in the said episode of the show they’re watching right now. His eyes slightly squinted as a memory flashed in his mind. Those white clouds… white lights and shits… A memory that he shouldn’t remember anymore as a demon. “It’s not what I mean, though. I just find the plot itself interesting though the conflicts are just insane. They’re all fighting for freedom… but because of that, so many lives and so many sacrifices were made… the characters even lose their loved ones, important people in their lives because they’re fighting for that freedom,” Romina told him as she focused on what’s happening on her screen. Luciel stared at her for a moment, still flinching because that certain memory kept on flashing in his mind. He cleared his throat and focused on the screen as well. “War is fun though. I love war because I have so many souls to get and to eat,” Luciel smirked. “Especially the wicked ones.” “Huh. Expected from a demon like you. But you sounded so greedy seconds ago,” Romina shook her head and focused on the screen once again. “Freedom…” Luciel muttered which made Romina look at him once again. “Such a simple word and yet can make you suffer every second.” “Hugot, ah?” Romina was about to laugh because she didn’t actually expect that from Luciel. “Why do you sound like you experience one?” She yelped when Luciel knocked her head. She immediately soothed circles onto the a***e part of their head. “Aw, what was that for?!” “Huh, says the one who couldn’t even stand for herself in front of her bullies.” “That’s a different case, you know?” she responded and crossed her arms. “I just don’t wanna get into trouble. I just don’t want Mama to worry about me so I have to deal with it myself. Pasasaan ba`t mapapagod din sila kaka-bully sa akin.” (*They’ll going to get tired of bullying me anyway.) “It’s the same case, Romina,” Luciel told her which made her look at him. “You still have no freedom for that. You’re bottling everything up because you don’t want to get into trouble in exchange for it, you don’t have the freedom to feel safe and happy in your whole high school life.” “I know but if anything will get uncontrollable which will get me into trouble, you’re going to protect me, right? After all, you’re my guardian. My guardian evil,” Romina said as she grinned and giggled and focused on the screen once again. “Oh! It’s Eren! I knew it was him. I already read the Japanese comic but he looked fine. I’m hoping to see Levi and Mikasa in the next episodes!” Luciel shook his head and watched with her in silence. Albeit he didn’t understand any human emotions, he just let Romina talk about anything—what she thinks, what she feels, and anything she wanted to talk about. It didn’t take an hour until Luciel felt something heavy—not that heavy—on his right shoulder. From the scent of both her body and soul, he knew it was Romina. He looked at her and saw her breathing steadily. “She was already asleep.” With a snap, her laptop turned off and was put safely on her study table. He was about to leave and lie her on her bed comfortably when he decided not to. You will stay with me and protect me, right? His black wings suddenly appeared and softly covered Romina, making her feel the warmth from his wings. His eyes glisten in crimson red as his horns rest on his head. “Yeah… I will protect you… until the day you decided that you don’t need me anymore.”
