Chapter 89: Lakeside trouble.

Lavi stays quiet and enjoys the lake for a while. He just sat near a fallen tree and then just let his feet soaked into the lake water... Although the Lake is beautiful, Lavi still feels like something isn't right. He felt an unnerving presence lurking within the lake, but in the deeper part of the lake.
'As long as that presence isn't coming closer to me, I don't need to worry about it. However, I still need to be careful even when they're not here... I am at my weakest point in time. Even if my instinct is that of a god, my physical capability is not. So, let's tread carefully.' Due to that thought process, Lavi didn't spend too much time in the lake.
After he was satisfied, he stood up and then get out of the lake before it's too late...
"Hm?" Before Lavi went out though, he felt something approaching from the land. Not from the lake...
Roar!
Something leaped out from the bushes straight toward Lavi.
It was a tiger. The body of that tiger is bigger than normal, also, the teeth and claws are sharper than other tiger... The bloodlust that is coming out from the damn tiger then pours straight towards Lavi...
'Ugh! This motherfucker!!! You're making me excited!' Still, Lavi is Lavi. The moment he felt something is out for his blood, his instinct kick in and went for the kill.
Lavi stood still with an eye of a predator as he stared for the predator that is leaping toward him.
The Tiger attempted to bite Lavi's neck, but Lavi saw that coming from a mile away. So he easily drag his foot forward and then lean down to let the Tiger pass through. Then, Lavi reached out toward the Tiger's Tail to grab it. Only to be shut down by its tail whip.
"Huh? That's unexpected!" Lavi jumped back toward the ground and get a proper footing. He is a bit shocked to see the powerful tail whip that was unleashed by the tiger just now.
'My hand was pushed? I guess this Tiger isn't a normal tiger huh. A cultivation world is something very dangerous indeed!'
Growl!!!
The Tiger turned around and unleashed an even more powerful bloodlust that gets Lavi shivering.
"Tch... Be happy that I'm not in my best state. I can kill you with a sneeze!" Although Lavi seemed and sound annoyed, he is excited.
The Tiger once again leaped toward Lavi. However this time, Lavi is ready to take down the tiger with one swoop.
But, before he can do that...
Swoosh!
SPLAT!
A flying sword flies through and then stab the Tiger on its head.
Lavi stood still and then turn around as the sword came flying from behind him...
"Who are you?" Lavi asked as he was turning. After he done turning around, what awaits him is a very dignified young man wearing a robe and long hair.
Lavi observe the guy for a bit and find a weird source of power coming from him. Lavi's eyes supersee all, even without any help, he can figure out everything.
'So, that's what they mean by cultivation huh... There's a vein of energy and that vein goes through the entire body and flow to the core... His core energy seems fiery golden... I don't know what that means but, it's cool!'
"You don't look like you're from here." Said the man after observing Lavi.
Lavi nodded and then assume a more passive posture.
"You are correct. I am not from here. I came from the outside."
"... I see. No wonder you feel like a monkey. You came from the outside."
Lavi was dumbfounded when he heard what he was called. 'Monkey? Me?' But Lavi keep his calm and sigh.
"This monkey right here is indeed from the outside. What's your name?"
"A monkey like you doesn't need to know." The man raised his hand and then the sword floats back toward him. But, the path that the sword takes, seems to be heading straight toward Lavi's heart.
"It seems like you're not a good guy huh." Lavi quickly get out of the way and the man just grab his sword looking a bit shocked.
"Impressive! I never think that Monkey like you would be able to dodge my sword!" The guy then shows his true color and unleashed his bloodlust upon Lavi. Which is never a good move when going against the craziest man.
"I don't know who you are. But your attitude, I don't like it."
"Hahaha! As I said, you don't need to know who am I! But as a reward for dodging my sword, I shall tell you a bit about me! Just know that you are about to be killed by the Crimson Sword of the Demonic Sword Clan!"
Hearing the word 'Demonic' is already enough for Lavi.
He take a step forward and his body turns phantom and blurry... Before even the Crimson Sword notices that Lavi is already standing right beside him.
"Thanks for telling me a bit about yourself. Allow me to use you as an experiment!"
"Eh?" Before the Crimson Sword notices, Lavi had already snapped his neck. It was a quick and sudden death that not even the one who is killed notices...
"I've gotten a very important thing to enter the world of Cultivation. I guess hiding my true power and acting like an outsider was a good decision because I can get those strong folks to underestimate me and got killed by nothing but pure martial arts."
Even without Cultivation, Lavi's experience and ability is enough for him to kill strong cultivator. Now, he had gotten his hand on a pretty valuable corpse.
Lavi had decided what he wanted to do with this corpse. It's not going to be a nice thing that he did, but Lavi doesn't care. In this world, the ruthless win and the naive one died. Lavi has always been ruthless. And he's not going to lose it now!
Lavi take the corpse away from the lake but not too far from the lake, as he found something interesting that he can use to hide. It was a place similar to a cave entrance. But since he doesn't know anything, he just expect it as a normal cave...
So Lavi get into the tight entrance of the cave with the corpse and when he entered it, it was just a small cave and in front of him, there's a pillar with some words he doesn't understand.
But, his feeling is telling him that in front of him is a grave.
"Well then, it's fitting, isn't it?" He had a corpse and in front of him is a grave. It's the best place for Lavi to conduct his research.
