Chapter 6: Camilla Was Pregnant

"It's quite surprising how quickly you could change your attitude, Miss Hill." I gave her a brief glance and picked up my bag, ready to go to the Thomson family's old house. Even if Dylan wouldn't go, there was no way I wouldn't too. As soon as I reached the doorway, Camilla stopped me. ''When are you going to sign the divorce agreement?'' she asked, staring at me coldly. It seemed that without Dylan around, she wasn't planning on playing nice with me. I was stunned. "Are you forcing me to divorce as Dylan's lover, Miss Hill?" I asked as I looked at her with a smile. "You are the lover here!" Her expression darkened. It seemed that she didn't like to be called a lover. "Lacey, if it weren't for you, I would've been the hostess of this villa now. That old man had dead, no one can back you up here. So if I were you, I would sign the agreement and leave with the money given by Dylan." "That's the point, Miss Hill, you're not me!" I said coldly. Ignoring her, I walked past her and was going to head downstairs and leave. Only Dylan's words could hurt me, no one else's could. Camilla, who was used to get pampered and be able to get whatever she wanted, was upset because I ignored her. She pulled me hard and said, "Lacey, are you shameless or something? What's the point of sticking with Dylan? He doesn't even like you." I looked back at her and chuckled a bit. "Why are you so worried if you know that I don't matter to him?" I said calmly. "You." With a flushed face, she didn't know what to say. I sneered and drew myself closer to her. Then I lowered my voice and said, ''What's the point of sticking with Dylan, you asked.'' I eased my tone and whispered to her, ''I'll tell you this. He's amazing in bed, so what do you think is the point?'' "Lacey you shameless b*tch!" Camilla was furious. She didn't think much before raising her hands and pushing me backwards, where stood a flight of stairs. Out of instinct, I dodged her push by moving to the side. But what I didn't expect was that Camilla would loose her balance and fall down the stairs. "Ah!" From the stairs, I could hear her yelling at the living room. At that moment, I froze. Before I could react, Dylan pushed me away and rushed to Camilla, whom was already laying on the floor downstairs. Camilla curled up her body with her arms wrapped around her abdomen. She looked pale and in pain. "The child, my child,'' she said in a weak voice. Blood slowly coated the ground, painting the carpet red. I was stunned. Was she pregnant? Was that Dylan's child? "Dylan, the child, the child," Camilla repeated as she gript on Dylan's sleeve tightly Dylan was sweating. He was visibly nervous. "It's okay. The child will be fine." He comforted Camilla and picked her up and paced towards the door. After a few steps, Dylan halted and looked at me with a tense look. ''You shouldn't have done that, Lacey.'' He tried to suppress his anger, but I could hear every bit of it in his voice. Those simple words were filled with coldness, hatred and anger. I stood there, having no idea of what I should do.
