The night came quickly. After being dragged by the burly Malachi to the downstairs room, I spent the rest of the day swimming in a pool of my thoughts. There were no beds inside the room, not even chairs. And there’s no bathroom, too. Aeriella and I had to slump on the tiled floor if we wanted to rest. The boys, Landriel and Jason, were seated on the the far corner of the room. As if by some miracle, the elf was in deep conversation with Jay. I felt a small smile curl my lips when I saw the two enjoying each others’ company. I wondered for a moment what on earth they were talking about. Was it about hot elf women? About werewolf allergies? Or celebrities that were secretly vampires? I didn’t ask though, so I guess I’ll never know. I sighed as I laid my back on the floor. Goosebumps crawl
