Chapter TenThe Day Before
At 8:00 a.m., Josie Everett walked into Don's office carrying a bag and wearing a smile. He grinned at her while talking about the estimated time to complete a project to someone on the phone. She opened the bag and showed him a short dress, holding it up to her so he could enjoy the prospects. Then she reached into the bag and came out with a see-through negligee that would cover nothing much at all. Now Don was smiling and having a hard time keeping his attention on the call.
“Okay, so I'll call you when I get back from the LA trip and we'll update the forecast.” A moment of quiet and then he said, “Shall do. You too.”
Don put down the phone and said, “Wow. Very nice. If we had time I'd want you to try it on for me.”
