Chapter 9The sky was ominous looking as I headed out to my car. The orange gleaming orb sank beneath a bank of clouds setting the gray-blue umbels on fire. With difficulty, I slithered into the small, two-seater, ragtop in my high-heeled black boots and the charcoal gray sweater skirt I'd decided to wear. Getting out would be more fun. My phone conversation with Nicolas had left me frazzled, and indignation still burned inside me.
