Brandon   He didn’t sleep a wink, and he sure felt it.   He tossed and turned until he just focused on his mom’s movements. It was around five she finally went to sleep and he got up to check on her. He checked on her every ten minutes until Toby stopped him.   “She isn’t going to stop breathing in her sleep. Just leave her be, that’s why she’s mad at you. You smother her.”   “I didn’t see you standing up for anything last night. You went along with everything.”   Toby shrugged, “I don’t really know what you’re expecting from me. I could see she was shutting down, too. She needed to get out of there.
