Chapter : 1. Prologue..
“Where is she? Bring her in front of me. I want to see this bi*che’s face.”
I heard a loud roar on the other side of the hall that made everyone standing around flinch. Right after, there was a tug on the chain wrapped around my hands as the soldiers dragged me close to their king. They all bowed to him as he came down the stairs of his castle, but not me. I am not going to bow to this bastard. Seeing my audacity, the soldiers tried to push me down to bow, and I ended up falling down on my knees. It hurts. But not more than the pain I have in my heart.
“So, this is her? She doesn’t look like a queen to me. She looks more like a slave.” Exactly. That is what I am. That is what you made me.
“Did you get the right one?”
“Yes, your majesty. She is the destined mate of King Harry.”
“Well then. Let’s see how tough she is that the moon goddess chose her as his mate. You? What is your name?” He pointed his finger at me, motioning me to tell my name. But I wish I could tell that to him. I wish I could tell all my feelings to him, bursting my anger out.
“Didn’t you hear what I said? What is your name?” His temper rose a step up when he again didn’t get any reply from me.
“Listen you, little b*tch. Don’t try to play any tricks on me. I am not the guy you should mess with. Don’t you know who I am? I am the king of the Wolford Kingdom. Everyone fears me for a reason. You should do so too.” I only listened to his blabber, without even looking up at him, and that made him even more angry at me.
“Look up at me when I am talking to you. Don’t you have any manners? Didn’t your mate teach you how to behave in front of a king?” He got so mad at my silence that he came down to my level just to make me look up at his face. Pressing onto my cheeks really hard, he picked my head up and made me look at his face.
I had never seen him before today, but still I hated the thought of looking at his face. So, when he made me look, all I could feel was rage and disgust. I wanted to drag my claws on his face from one side to another so that he wouldn’t be able to show his evil face to another person again. He deserves the harsest punishemnt ever. I wanted to poke my finger in those dark eyes of his, so that he could never look at me again. But I can’t do that now with all his men around to save him.
He kept staring at me, looking deep into my eyes like he was lost in them. Even his expression changed from anger to wonder. For a moment, it felt like he has a soft spot hidden inside his rock solid heart that was feeling pity at my condition. Maybe it is for my own good. Maybe this is how the moon goddess is showing me the way to get my revenge. If I can make him feel pity for me, I could find a way to enter his heart and his life. It would give me the opportunity to ruin him from inside and outside.
That’s it. That is the right plan to get my revenge. Fighting with him won’t be enough for my satisfaction. He should suffer the way I did. Besides. He’s a Lycan and I am an alpha. I can’t win against him in a fight with no training at all. But if I use the advantage of being a woman, I can play with his life and ruin it completely like he did to mine.
So, letting go of my anger and hate, I made myself look even weaker and calm. The thought of not being able to do anything to him right now, as I always wished for, made my eyes tear up. And as soon as he saw a tear roll down my eyes, he let go of my cheek and stood up quickly.
“Does anyone know what her name is because she’s not going to say that herself..”
“My king, I heard an old lady call her Emma right before we took her.”
“Emma..? Are you sure that she is Harry’s mate?”
“Yes. Your Majesty. We did our investigation before being sure. Even she admitted herself that she is the destined mate of King Harry.”
“Well, then. Throw her into the dungeon until her mate comes to her rescue. And make sure she gets no food until she is ready to speak.”
As soon as he passed the order, the soldiers pulled me up from the ground and dragged me into the dungeon below the castle. They put me in one of the cells there and even tied my hands in heavy handcuffs attached to the wall to make sure I don’t attack someone or try to escape. Then they left me in the dark and damp place with no source of light or any other soul around, for how long I have no idea.
He showed his true color again by putting me in this hell. And I thought he was feeling pity for me. Is he that blind to not see that I can’t speak? Can’t any one of them notice that they just kidnapped a mute and forcing her to talk? Now they are keeping me in a dungeon with no food until I can speak, which is impossible. Maybe this is it. Maybe this is how I am supposed to die. I should have done something when I had the chance. I didn’t think that my plan would fail like this.
I don’t know what I was expecting. I was hoping for pity from the person who took everything away from me. He took away my father, my home, my childhood, my happiness, and my voice. He ruined my life, turning me into a mute slave. He broke me to an extent that even my own mate is disgusted of me. It was all his fault. King Philip Plandach. I will kill you. I will ruin your life. I will take my revenge.
