Anger To A Whole Different Level

Another week passed by in the blink of an eye.

My hand was completely fine now.Even though I was told not to use my left hand for using heavy lifting because it was still very fragile.

I laid on the bed and thought about everything that has happened in the past month.

Nothing makes sense to me.Everyone is hiding something from me and I don't understand why.

First of all Luke and Alex knew each other from the beginning and Alex's father was also familiar with Luke

Alex hid a very big secret from me which is the reason why I am here but why would he do such a thing?

I walked in the busy streets with all these haunted memories.I entered a cafe and I bumped into a girl,a woman to be exact,while walking inside.

"Oh sorry,please,excuse me." I said with a nervous smile.

"Oh so you are the b***h who lives with Luke huh?" She asked rudely.

"What?!" I was shocked.

"So tell me how did you lure him into your bed?" She asked as she folded her hands across her chest.

"Who are you and what are you talking about?" I asked in confusion.I was hurt.

"Now you are going to act all naive huh?" She asked with a smirk.

"I didn't lure him into anything.I was brought here against my own will!" I said as I increased my voice a bit.

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me!" She screamed.

"You..." I was about to speak but a girl and a boy ran to me.

"Please don't mind her." The boy said to the arrogant woman.

The other girl pulled me to a seat in the corner.I burst into tears and covered my face with my hand.

"Don't cry, it's in her nature.We know you are a good person." The boy said as he sat in front of me and the girl sat beside me.

I wiped my tears and looked at them,"What's your name?" I asked.

"I am Alina and he is Armen.We both work here as the waiter." She said with a smile.

"Who was she?" I asked.

"She is Weronika.She is the manager here.Bitchy, arrogant and all the negative words for her." Alina rolled her eyes.

"What's your name?" Alina asked.

"I am Lucia Browning." I replied slowly.

"Are you the secret of Luke Vernon?" Armen asked.

"What secret?" I asked abruptly.

"It is said that he has a beautiful lady in his home,who stays with him." Armen replied.

"I do stay with him but he and I are nothing.He is my enemy and if I could I would kill him." I said angrily.

Alina coughed and cleared her throat,"Why would you want to kill a charming man like him?"

"He may be charming but to me he is a hideous creature." I clenched my fists.

"Why do you despise him so much?" Armen asked.

"Because... because he killed the man I loved." I said as tears formed in my eyes and I looked down.

"Oh...you really don't know the actual story?" He asked.

"What actual story?" I asked.

"Nothing...leave it." He said with a smile.

"Do you want to drink anything?" Alina asked.

"Please tell me." I begged.

"Look Lucia,this is not our secret to tell.One day or the other,you will come to know the truth." Alina said.

I nodded and left for the house.Luke had something special in him which attracted every woman.Truth be told,every woman was crazy for him but does he ever give any of them a chance?

He doesn't let people in.He doesn't want people to know his secrets and sorrows.He hides himself with riches and fame.

No one understands how sad he really is.

Then why me? Why does a man like him care for me who doesn't care about rich and beautiful women.

I walked inside the house.I didn't realize that it was already half past eight.

Luke was sitting leisurely on the sofa while smoking and going through some important files.

The first three buttons of his shirt were undone.He looked charming.I immediately looked down to avoid his attractive eyes which could capture me without any effort.

"Lucia..." He stood up slowly.I slowly raised my head to look at him.He ran to me,"Have you been crying?" He asked with a hint of concern in his voice.It was visible on his face.

I looked down.I wasn't in mood for some conversation with my enemy.

"What happened?" He asked as he cupped my face.

"I happened to meet one of your lovers." I said casually.

"My what?!" He was surprised.

"Everyone knows that I stay with you but no one knows that I am here against my will." I said with my trembling voice,"That makes me a b***h now?" I asked.

"Who sai-whom did you meet?" He asked.

"Manager at the Choice Cafeteria." I said as I walked towards the stairs.

"Tell your lovers to stay away from me.They might not be aware of what I am capable of doing." I said as I shot him a look with my bloodshot eyes.

The last thing I saw was anger flowing in his eyes.

The next morning I woke up and headed down for breakfast but something terrified me.

As I looked down from the stairs I saw Weronika again but this time on her knees and her face swollen with tears.Luke was sitting on the sofa, leaning his back.A few bodyguards dressed in black were around him.

"I didn't say it.I swear.She was lying." She cried.I ran in front of her.Luke'e eyes met mine.

"She is lying!" I said to him.

"She is the one,right?" Luke asked me.I nodded and took a step back.

Luke raised his hands and a few of his men took her away.Her screams were still ringing in my ear.

"Are you going to kill her?" I asked in fear.

"Why do you care?" He asked without making any eye contact with me.

"Don't kill her!" I begged him to prevent him from doing something terribly wrong.

"Those who defy me,knows that they are asking for a death wish." He said as he leaned forward and rested his elbow on his thighs.He looked at me with no regrets.

"How can you-she didn't even do anything to you.She was being rude to me doesn't mean that you will kill her!" I argued.

"No one will dare to hurt you as long as I am alive." He said and got up.

"Breakfast's on the table.Eat it before it gets cold." He said.

"And I wouldn't kill her." He said before heading out of the house.

It seemed like he was in a bad mood.Thankfully,he wasn't killing Weronika.
