I went home.I couldn't wait for tomorrow to come.I entered the home and saw dad and mum talking with Alex's parents.I also noticed Alec in the corner.I smiled at them.
"Come here,sweetie." Dad called me.I sat beside him.
"Did you visit Alex's grave?" He asked.
"Not yet.I didn't get the chance." I said.
"Where were you today?" He asked.
"I was at the headquarter."
"Doing what?" He asked.
"Retirement." I said.
"What?!" He gasped.Everyone else was shocked.
"You took such a big decision and didn't bother to tell us?!" Mum asked.I stayed silent.
"Why did you do it? You had your whole life ahead of you!" Alex's dad asked.
"It's for the better." I replied.
"Sweetie,you hurt me a lot by doing this.Anyways,do you wish to visit his grave with us tomorrow?" He asked.
"I think I want to go alone." He nodded in response.
I got up and went back to my room.I was feeling tired as hell so I thought about skipping dinner and head to sleep.
Luke.That name roamed around my mind.
I gave up and decided to call him.I dialed his number.It rang for some time.Then it ended.
He didn't answer my call.This caused a bit of pain in my heart.
I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep.
He was still my enemy.I thought to myself.
I couldn't sleep properly for the rest of the night but I woke up at 7 am by my phone buzzing.
to my surprise,the name,Luke appeared on the screen.
It automatically brought a smile on my face.
"Hello,Lucia?" His voice was so gentle and calm that I almost cried.
"Luke..." I whispered.
"I am sorry.Did I wake you?" He asked.
"No,I was just up." I bluffed.
"You called me..." He said slowly.
"I-um...How are you?" I asked.
"I am good, Lucia.What about you?" He asked.
"I am fine too.Just caught a bit of cold." I said.
"Take care of yourself." He said with worry lacing in his tone.
"I will."
After our small conversation,I felt happy.I talked to him after 4 days.
I went back to sleep as I couldn't sleep properly the last night.I still got a long day ahead of me.
