His heartbeat slowed down each second.I prayed that he survives.Nothing was more precious to me than him. That day I realized that I loved him.I fell in love with him long ago and now there were no doubts left. All those times,I've been thinking about poisoning him, what if he drank the coffee? What if he died slowly? He trusted me even when knowing that I wanted to kill him.
A little scratch on my arm used to make him go crazy. It made me feel like he was in more pain than I was.
Now that he was slowly leaving,I realized his love.I realized his care.
That man was ready to sacrifice himself for me.That man loved me...more than anyone else.
"Lucia?Are you okay?" Walker asked.
"Yes, General." I wiped my tears.
"I am sorry, Lucia.I didn't know." He said as he put a hand on my shoulder.I nodded and looked at my beloved man.
Bleeding to death and there is nothing I can do.I held his hands and hoped that he would wake up.
We reached the hospital and he was sent to the emergency ward.I closed my eyes and waited for him to wake up.I'd rather sacrifice myself to see him.
"What happened in the last three years?" Walker asked as we sat down on one of the benches.
"A lot." I whispered.
"What about Alex?" He asked with sadness lingering in his voice.
"General..." I took a deep breath.
"Tell me about your relationship with Alex. What happened between you two? I want to know everything." He said.
"During the early times of our relationship, when I was seventeen,he once thought I was cheating. It was that one night he hit me with a belt because he was drunk. However,he used to come home drunk every night but I wouldn't judge him.I don't know what reasons he had.One night,in his drunk state,he happened to spill the fact that he was passing information to the Russians." I said with a smile and tears crawled down my cheeks.
"What?!" He was shocked and surprised.
"You knew that?" He asked.
"Yes, general." I replied.
"I tried to stop him from doing it but he told me that he cannot break some deal and there needs to be some secret between us." I added.
"This was the final angle of the story." General whispered to himself.
"General, what did you say? What story?" I asked.
"Nothing, Lucia." He faked a smile.
"Tell me please. No one tells me what happened. So many unanswered questions! I can't sleep at night. These past three years, these questions have been haunting me.Please, please tell me." I begged.I needed to know everything.
"Lucia..." He said.
"Please don't lie.Please tell me." I cried.
"Okay fine but only after we go back to America." He said.
"I cannot go back to America...Luke...he will never let me go back." I said as I wiped my tears.
"I will arrange that." He said.
"Promise me, general.Please!" I begged.
"I promise." That's all he said before leaving the hospital.
