Episode 4: Alone In The Rain

I ran inside and I saw my parents looking at me worriedly. I looked for an excuse because I didn't want Red and Lily to get caught.

"I am having diarrhea," I lied and ran upstairs and they seemed to believe it dahil hindi pa nila ako tinawag pa. I sobbed in my bed while I wrapped my body with the comforter. What they are doing is hurting me.

After a few minutes, I heard a knock on the door and I wiped my tears on my face at binuksan ang pinto. Nakita ko si Red with a worried look. May gamot siya sa kamay niya. I glanced at him confused but then I realized na sinabi ko pala nila Mom na may diarrhea ako kaya I feel embarrassed habang tinitignan siya.

"Umuwi na sila, Hindi na sila nakapag paalam because you're having diarrhea." Sabi niya. I shook my head. "Here's a medicine, inumin mo." He said and handed me the medicine in his hand and I suddenly felt angry at him. Why does he care now? He hated me when we got married and treated me like trash.

"Hindi mo na kailangan maging mabait Red, huwag kang mag alala, pipirmahan ko naman ang divorce paper so cut the act." Galit na sabi ko and I slammed the door hard at sumandal ako sa pader. I sobbed silently, I didn't get to see his reaction but I could feel that he was shocked by my behavior.

Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit ko nagsabi ang ganung bagay, that was the first time that I snapped at him. Siguro dahil sa sobrang sakit na nararamdaman ko ngayon kaya nabuntong ko sa kanya ang galit at sakit na nararamdaman ko.

I went to the bed and just sobbed there until no more tears left. Kinain ako ng antok and I fell asleep with a heavy heart.

I woke up with a sharp pain in my abdomen and I wailed like a baby. I think I'm having my period again and I hate it so much. Sobrang sakit ng puson ko kapag dinadatnan ako. I can't even stand because of the pain. Hinawakan ko ang tiyan ko and I grip it to stop the pain.

I heard the door open and I saw Red who looked like bagong gising pa lang.

"What happened?" He asked tiredly while examining my state.

"G-give me some painkillers, please," I begged him at agad siyang lumabas at nakabalik siya dala ang painkiller at tubig. Agad ko itong ininom and I have to wait for a few minutes before mawala ang sakit.

"Thank you," I whispered feeling embarrassed dahil nakita niya ako na ganito. He went back to his room and I just laid in my bed thinking about what happened last night. I felt a pang in my chest again.

I am currently watching TV inside my room habang kumakain ng chocolates. Red is outside at wala akong balak na makita siya ngayon, I am still hurt about what he did. I just got a call from my Mom kanina at sinabing nag book sila ng table sa isang mamahalin restaurant for us two ni Red. Hindi naman pwede na tanggihan ko sila kaya I am going to tell Red. Day off ni Red for the rest of the week at ang Papa niya ang nag aasikaso Ngayon sa company dahil they want to give us a "time" to each other.

I got out of bed at lumabas. I knocked on Red's door, he muttered "Come in," at binuksan ko ang pinto at pumasok. I saw him calling someone on his phone while smiling. He glanced at me.

"I will call you back," He whispered to the phone at binaba.

"Mom called me, pupunta raw tayo mamaya sa restaurant, I will send you the address." Sabi ko sa kanya. He sighs at napahawak sa noo niya. I tried to hide the disappointment that I was feeling, he didn't even want to go and have dinner with me.

"Okay, we will go there pero may pupuntahan muna ako ngayon. I will be back later." Sabi niya. I suddenly have the urge to ask him kung saan siya pupunta but I stop myself. I have no right to ask him that kind of question. Asawa lang niya ako sa papel.

I glance in the mirror at napangiti. I am wearing a black dress at black na 3 inch heels. Ayaw kong sumuot ng mga 6 inches heels dahil masakit sa paa. My medium-length hair is curled and I have a simple makeup on. Kahit peke lang ang date na ito, I still want to experience having a date with him.

Nang matapos na ako, bumaba ako and I saw Nanay Alma na naglilinis sa mesa. Napalingon siya sa akin and she smiled.

"Ang ganda naman ng alaga ko," She said and I smiled and thanked her. I asked her kung nasaan si Red. "Umalis pa si Red, pero babalik daw siya ngayon." Sabi ni Nanay at tumango naman ako at umupo sa sofa. I waited for him for a few minutes pero hindi pa rin siya dumating.

My phone ping at kinuha ko ito sa purse ko at binasa ang message.

(I am sending you my friend para ihatid ka sa restaurant, I will be there.) Galing Kay Red ang message at narinig ko ang busina ng kotse sa labas kaya nagpaalam ako kay Nanay Alma at pumunta sa labas. I saw a guy na nakasandal sa kotse, he looked hot with his brown hair and brown eyes, his skin was tanned and his body was built like Red but Red was hotter than him. I shook the thoughts away, I shouldn't compare them.

"Hi beautiful, I'm Noah. Red's friend." Sabi niya and he lent his hand for me to shake. Damn, he's a player, I can tell it. I shook his hand.

"I'm Hope," I said to him and he smiled and kissed my hand. I gasped and glared at him. How dare he kiss my hand?

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl," He said and I rolled my eyes, ganyan talaga ang mga linya sa mga nababasa ko sa English novels.

"Napakaluma ng mga pick-up lines mo," Sabi ko at narinig ko ang tawa nito. We went inside his car and we drove to our destination. I glanced at him as he drove. He is handsome but a very cocky guy. Tanungin ko kaya siya kung nasaan si Red? Kaibigan naman sila kaya baka alam niya.

"Alam mo ba kung saan si Red?" Tanong ko. He glanced at me and then glanced back at the road.

"I'm sorry milady, but Red didn't say anything about his whereabouts," He teased at tinignan ko lang ito ng masama. Napabuntong hininga naman ako. After a few minutes of our little trip, nakarating na kami sa restaurant.

"Well, I guess this is my cue to leave now, princess." He said. "Darating yon si Red ngayon, you can wait here or you can wait inside." Sabi niya and I nodded my head and thanked him. He finally left and I decided na sa labas na lang muna maghintay, gusto ko na sabay kaming pumasok dahil nakakahiya naman kapag ako lang mag-isa na papasok doon.

I waited for him for a few minutes and then the minutes turned into an hour and I decided to call him but he won't answer his phone. I sigh and wait and I glance at the watch on my hand. It's already 9:00 p.m. I have been waiting here for two hours already, pero wala pa rin siya.

My heart was aching while I stared at the phone pero walang reply at tawag na natanggap ko galing kay Red. Napayuko naman ako and I decided to walk nearby para malibang ko ang sarili ko. Napatingin ako sa mga sweet couple na nasa daan, they look so happy and in love. Possible kaya na mangyari sa amin yan ni Red?

I felt something wet dripping on my forehead and I gasped nang umulan ng malakas. I ran towards the nearest store upang sumilong. My dress is now wet and my makeup is probably smudged right now.

I called Red again but he still wouldn't answer the phone. I already texted him so many times pero walang reply. Napayuko ako at hindi ko mapigilang mapaluha. I sobbed silently at buti nalang malakas ang ulan dahil walang makakahalata na umiyak ako. Naisipan ko na umuwi na lang. Pumara ako ng mga taxi pero occupied lahat ng nakasalubong ko.

I sat on the bench while shivering dahil malamig. I just want to go home and cry because of the pain that I am feeling right now.

Nasaan ka, Red?
