  Chapter 7 The best part about the drive home the next day was that nothing changed. Nothing vital, anyway. We were still able to laugh and chat like we had before I’d asked him out, and I got the added bonus of Jerry’s affectionate nature having an outlet. My ass wasn’t thrilled with the two-hour truck ride, but it was a welcome reminder of the night we’d shared. I dropped him off at his house with a kiss that had me humping his leg against the pickup and a promise to see each other the next day.
