I followed the track of his shoes, away from the valley, passed the little lake and into a forest until the trail ended in a deadlock. I looked around the empty forest and knew that I have been tricked by him. He purposely left those shoe print to mislead me and now I completely lost him. Frustrated, I ran my hands through my hair and my eyes traveled down to the shoe prints on the floor. I noticed something and bent down to examine it. My brows furrowed as I realized something. If he was going to hide his trail then his footsteps should've gotten lighter as he moved until it was no longer visible but here, the shoe prints were large.
