The authority of a king

I matched my way forward until I was standing in front of him, I could see his lips slightly curving upwards in a smirk as he looked up at me with that icy gaze.

Though, I was a little bit intimidated, I still tried to hold my ground

"She will not do it!" I repeated

"Then, will you take her place?" He asked and I saw that mischievous glint in his eyes again and knew he was planning something

"No" I answered calmly "I will not do that"

"I'm ordering you"

"Order me again once you have more authority" I said crossing my arms

I saw his face harden as he looked up at me and I knew I just angered him. Slowly, he stood up from his seat, towering over me and taking a step closer with that intimidating gaze

I gulped and wanted to just leave his sight or move further away from him but I forced myself to hold my ground and raise my head to look up at him challengingly

Gosh!

I never imagined I would have the guts to stand up to a powerful figure like this but here I am being controlled by anger

"What kind of authority do you need?" He said slowly his eyes shooting lacers at me. I wondered how I was still able to look into them and reply

"The authority of a king. One who will not abuse his power, one who knows his limits!"

"Haha... One who knows his limits" he laughed and I gave him an annoyed look

"The fact that you're a prince does not give you the right to treat others like trash" I took a step closer to him and used my forefinger to poke at his chest daringly while saying

"And you my prince, clearly don't know your limits"

"Hah" he scoffed, I could see his eyes changing colours as he tried to control his rage but I wasn't done yet

"If the roles were to be exchanged and I become a princess and you, my subject. Would you kneel and lick my feets?"

Gasp

The whole room went so quiet you could hear a pin drop

I knew I just asked a daring question that marked my fate in this school and there was no way out this time. I was bound to be doomed.

I guess no one had ever talked to him like that as he stared at me for a long time before he suddenly and unexpectedly broke into a laugh.

His laugh gave me creeps as I felt something within it but I still raised a brow and gave him the 'are you silly' look

He stopped. All traces of a laugh or even a tiny bit of a smile disappeared from his face replaced by a cunning look "I don't think that will ever happen" He said and I shook my head and scoffed

"But... " He continued "You challenged me today about limits huh?" He smiled deviously and I carefully took an unnoticeable step back as he was emitting a powerful aura that would make me bow my head at any minute

"How about from today on... He paused "I show you just how limitless I can be, how much power and authority I have wielded and that... You're nothing but a teenie, tiny, worthless subject who doesn't contribute a thing to the community yet talks about rights without knowing her place, without knowing a thing..."

"Hah" I scoffed crossing my arms as I watched him stroll out of the class coolly, the crowds automatically making a path for him

Once he was out of sight and everybody started to disperse, I collapsed on the chair thinking of all what I just did and said

"Ahhh... " I groaned pulling my hair as my friends quickly surrounded me

"Ayyra!" I heard an angry voice and looked up to meet Lilly's teary gaze

"How can you be so stupid. Why do you have to stand up for me each time Ayyra? Getting yourself into trouble, it makes me feel so guilty"

I smiled at her and quickly put myself together

Let's worry another day

"Heyy, I merely gave him a piece of my mind who said I stood up for you? Besides, I'd still be nonchalant even if you were going into the tigers mouth" I said and saw her smile as she cleaned the tears that had fallen from her eyes

"You foolish, foolish girl"

"I must say this, you were really foolish ayyra. Who does that?"

"Don't call her foolish, she was so brave even I felt like a proud father" Kenneth said and marie smacked him as he ran out

"Okay guys, forget about what just happened" I said and turned to marie

"Spill"

I saw her blush and almost ran away but I dragged her back to sit and started to throw questions at her

"Kissed?" I asked, she blushed and nodded while lilly shouted check

"Touched?" Again, I asked giving her the 'you know what I mean look'

She shook her head then nodded again that got me and lilly both laughing and saying check

"How strong is the pull?"

"... Very strong?" Marie replied unsure and looked at us with eyes that said 'have mercy on me' but we ignored it and asked anyway

"Wow! Very strong ayyra, they must have done it" Lilly said and I quickly supported

"Of course, if the pull is so strong they wouldn't be able to last a day without doing it talk more of waiting for a mating ceremony"

"Geez guys, are you serious right now? We've done nothing, only kissed!"

A male voice sounded and i saw marie freeze in shock and slowly turned her head to see her mate standing there with a smile

"Brought you something to eat and oh... I also brought some for your friends" Ethan said flashing us a smile and I could see the pure affection he had for Marie

When will I find a mate like this? One who would love and care deeply for me.

As this thought went through my head, the image of a handsome man materialized in my mind. He was protecting and taking care of me as if I was a princess. Taking care of all my needs and showering me with love and affection
