Chapter 10: Deal Mikalya’s P.O.V:   I slammed the door shut on my way out of the egoistic Alpha’s room. There was a crowd gathered outside in the hallway, most probably waiting for eager gossip or maybe they were just weary of what might happen next if I accidentally killed the Alpha? I wouldn’t be able to tell with my mind seething with rage. But my packmates had clearly felt the rage through the pack link, the intricate bond of blood that connected us all as a pack, because they parted like the red sea as soon as they saw me approach. I was sure I wasn’t a pretty sight either with my eyes glowing with the wolf’s rage and my lips pulled back n a snarl. Their hurried motion of stepping out of my way as if I would actually take my anger out on them, would have been comical if my mind wasn’t so distracted. I didn’t even know which way I was heading until I found myself standing in front of the training room. Maybe punching a few holes in a punching bag will get the anger under control? I didn’t quiet trust myself when my wolf was so close to the surface. The door to the training hall flung open and hit the opposite walls with a huge booming noise. I hadn’t predicted the violent move but I had to admit, there was something soothing about hearing doors slam and glasses break that helped reduce the anger. Aya whistled from her position on the ground where she was lifting weights. "Who crawled up your a*s and laid eggs?" Aya smirked, typical behavior for a juvenile who wanted to act cool in front of their Alpha. "Not in the mood!" I gritted out, probably harsher than intended to as I strode over to the metal alloy punching block and threw a right hook at it. The metal block flew back before swinging back on its chain and heading straight for me. I caught it in one hand, the vibration passing from the metal through my entire body, down to my toes. "Looking kinda flustered there, jiji (big sister)," Aya was never one to care for the warning bells, in fact she loved to tease me whenever I was pissed, which was my fault for indulging her too much. "Did something...interesting happen?" She wiggled her eyebrows at me. "Shut up for once, Aya." I snapped at her. “Have you forgotten all manners or do I need to remind you of how you should behave in front of your Alpha?” "What's wrong?" Aya asked as she approached me while I punched the block once, twice. She had finally understood that I wasn’t in the mood for crap today.   "Nothing," I told her curtly as I kept punching the bag without arm protectors. Damnit! I hated that jerk of an Alpha for getting me flustered because of one damn kiss and I hate myself even more for getting this affected by that kiss. It wasn’t just the case with Alphas but males in general, who were in some position of power, thought it was fine to kiss people without consent. So what if the girl is resisting, she’s just playing hard to get, right? She’ll resist at first and then she’ll give in, just like everyone does. f*****g jerks! “Jiji! Jiji stop!" Aya yanked me back with all her strength pulling me away from the punching block. If it were any ordinary wolf, they would be on the other side of the room by now, but I was an Alpha. It would take a lot more than all of Aya's strength alone to throw me off balance. "Stop it, you're bleeding!" Aya cried out as she took my hands in her own. Her voice was hoarse and her fingers trembled as she inspected the wounds. I stared at my knuckles in surprise. I was too pissed off to notice the pain so I hadn’t realized when my knuckles had cracked. Blood gushed out of them freely and dropped onto the floor, but it didn’t register. “Come on, I’ll bandage them for you.” Aya pulled me over to one of the benches at the back of the training gym and came back with the first aid kit a few moments later. She handed me a sports bottle with some kind of a nutrient drink to boot your energy and I took slow sips from it while Aya took one of my hands in hers and began cleaning up the cuts. It stung for a while but then she applied a cooling ointment and wrapped my hand in a bandage before repeating the process with my other hand. “Are you going to tell me what made you this mad?” Aya asked steadily. “No.” I told her, my voice calmer, my rage under control. “You’re too young to understand.” “No, I’m not!” She puffed up her cheeks in defiance, her brown eyes sparkling in the light from the overhead lamp. “I’m seventeen! I’m old enough to understand that it’s that Alpha that got you mad. Why don’t you just throw them out and send them on their way home?” “I’ve already told them, but male Alpha’s aren’t that easy to get rid of,” I sighed as I got up from the bench and walked over to the punching block and looked at the damage. It was severely dented, the only way to reuse it once again will be to melt it down and reform the block once again, or use it for something else. "There you are!" Speak of the devil. "What do you want?"I asked wryly as I turned to face the Alpha and his little sidekick. "Look buddy, I don't think this is the right time to-" A ferocious growl cut Aya off mid sentence. "You really need to learn your position before you speak, girl." The beta seemed to have found a backbone. "f**k off!" Aya snapped. "ENOUGH! All of you!" I glare at the beta with my lips pulled back in a snarl, my fangs showing. "If you have nothing sensible to discuss then keep quiet. And you two, get the hell out of my land!" The authority in my voice made both Aya and the beta squirm in their place, but the Alpha wasn’t that affected. He was even more stubborn than I had anticipated. "Not without an explanation," he said gruffly. "We need to know why you've built an army out here in this God forsaken land and why you killed our spies. It could have been done another way where no one needed to get hurt." "Which part of privacy do you not understand? I don't have an army you fool, this is my pack!" I wanted nothing more than to strangle the pride out of him. Men like him never know when to give up, do they? "Still doesn't clarify why you are so far away from civilization," he retorted back. "We can live wherever the f**k we want to live! Which part of leave us alone do you not understand? Go before I kill you, just like I did your spies," I was getting tired of this and my knuckles were starting to hurt. "You can't kill us. We're the largest pack in Asia and if you just want to be left alone, as you claim, then you won't want to start a war. And we will leave, but not before confirming that you aren't secretly training an army to take us down. It's the least you can do for killing those eight wolves." “They got what they deserved for trespassing into my land that too armed to the teeth.” I told him. “Spies are trained for invasion if necessary and they are supposed to be merciless killers. You think I was stupid enough to let them invade and report back to their ringleader?” “Which just proves that you have hostile tendencies,” he argued back. “I need to stay here to know that you won’t be planning an attack on one of our packs.” “If I wanted a war, both of you would be dead by now.” I smirked. “But since I know you are dying to stay with us for personal reasons, I’ll pretend to be nine. Two days. That's all you get, any longer and I'll throw you down a cliff. Your fighters will remain under my custody until you decide to leave because I don’t trust foreign Alpha and his packmates not to form a g**g under my roof. And stay away from the women!" "Deal!" The Alpha accepted readily. “And my name isn’t foreigner Alpha, it’s Rhys Valkyer. And this is my beta, Zyane Hudson.” He introduced them. “Mikalya Carnell,” I said and then pointed back towards Aya. “Alaya Raichand. That’s all you need to know.” And then I strode past the duo and exited the training room and headed straight for my room. It was late and I had no intention of entertaining those two any longer. If Aya was any wiser, she’d be getting away from them too…and if the sound of the door slamming behind me was any indication, she had done just that. Good for her.  Now I’ll have to face the Alpha for two more days while he determines if my pack was violent or not. Violent my foot. We all knew why he was staying back. And the reason was entirely personal.
