I met him at the mating ceremony on the night of the full moon, where wolves gather to encounter their mates.
I never expected my mate to be such a wolf with no heart.
He wrecked up with rage the moment he recognised I was an Omega and not an Alpha.
And by then, his lover was already carrying his child.
Elsa.
He believed his lover was his mate. Turns out fate had other plans and I was suffering for those plans destiny had for him.
I found out how terrible his character was.
I told my father and begged him to not let me get married to him, but he turned deaf ears on me.
Instead, he took that advantage, sold me to the Alpha in exchange for him collaborating with his pack to become more powerful and for me to be his s*x tool.
I was a puppet for my father and a slave to my husband.
I don’t even know what the difference is.
Those dreams and the hopes of finding my mate again who will love and cherish me.
Take me away from the pack with our fingers locked with each other.
How we were to have our mate kiss, and all shattered before me, that whatever I did wasn’t enough.
And I would never please my father.
Yet, I kept going, wiping off my tears, even though I was a weak Omega.
A piece of trash who was nothing but a puppet and a slave in the eyes of the clan.
I cleaned up my tears as I heard noises. I knew it was time for me to go.
I went to my father’s chambers to relay a message to him.
“Greetings, father,” I gave a little bow before him. “We are proceeding and prepared already for battle. We will be gone now.” I relayed, and he just stared at the glass in front of him as he chuckled and poured it at my head the moment he came to me and let out a long yawn.
I tightly shut my eyes and did nothing. It was a waste of time.
“Father,” I silently called.
“SILENCE.” He snapped as soon as he set his eyes on me again and grimaced.
“Didn’t mean to disturb you, but I need to go. The warriors need me,” I added.
“And so? Is that why you are calling me? Are you trying to say that I’m ignoring you too much, forcing me to speak? How many times have I told you not to call me father? Call me Alpha Hawk? Do you hear me? I don’t want to be the father of an Omega.” He roared.
Well, he already was, no matter how he denies it.
His blood flows through my veins.
I also wish he was not my father, so I wouldn’t be suffering like this.
Hilarious, isn’t it?
“Ok. I’m sorry, you are not talking too much or neither am I forcing you to speak. f…I mean Alpha Hawk. I just wanted to remind you of where we were going tonight.” I bowed and almost walked out when I heard my stepmother’s words behind my father.
“Let’s just hope she doesn’t die in battle. Most people would be so happy if she died, anyway. After all, she is useless to us. Anyway, she is nothing but a disgrace. Since we are her family, let’s hope she doesn’t spit on our faces, letting the warriors bring her head to us. You know, as a family, should always look out for their own blood for someone that can’t even control her powers and shapeshift properly?” She sounded amused and smirky at her words with a scorn.
“What blood? She isn’t my blood. If not because her mother ran away and was my previous Luna in this clan, do you think I would care about her? By raising her in my home. I would have thrown her out of this mansion a long time ago.” He growled as he raised his voice and stared at me. “When you are coming back home, you better win a magnificent victory. You will face my wrath if you disgrace the pack. GET OUT.”
“Yes, Alpha Hawk.” My back was facing them as tears streamed down my face.
I went out of his chambers and wiped off my tears.
My life was all about them.
They wanted me to die and get off their shoulders; I know that.
I was the one who wanted to prove to them how worthy I was.
That’s why my father instructed me to stay at the front of the warriors during battle so the enemies could take my life without putting dirt on their hands.
I felt heartbroken.
I took up a little towel, wiped off the dirt poured on my hair by my father and met up with the other warriors instead, after dressing up in my armor as I pulled myself together.
“Let’s go,” I commanded, and they all followed me, murmuring under their breath, angry that an Omega would lead them again instead of an Alpha.
Well, my father wanted me out of the way, and that was it.
We then charged against the other packs in our horses and I controlled myself as we proceeded forward.
We got to the battlefield. Everyone was ready to attack at any moment.
Suddenly, our enemies charged towards us, roaring at the top of their voices, and we were born ready.
I will not die tonight, not now, never.
“LIGHT UP THE TORCHES WARRIORS OF THE FROSTBITE PACK.” I shouted.
They all hailed fiercely at the top of their lungs.
“FIRE!” I roared, standing at the top of the hill as I pointed in the direction I wanted it to be.
Everyone held torches lit in fire, roared furiously in their wolves’ voices, and barged into the village, connecting to the forest.
The forest bowed, went ablaze, the fire went red.
Its flaming spread, the trees lit like torches streaked with light.
An enormous black smoke filling up the air.
Burnt corpses scattered all over the place.
Some of its eyeballs, legs, pieces of each part of the body, organs, hearts, blood littered around the fire, around me, smelled like roasted meat mixed with the stench of death as it passed my nostrils.
I morphed my hand into claws and wiped off one of their necks.
This battle was a fierce and bloody one.
I roared and continued fighting as fast as I could not to get caught in their trap, turned around, did quite a reflex and kicked their damn butt.
The heads of the werewolves hung on a pole, dripping blood, staining the pure ground of the earth.
