Before things would escalate further, something coerced inside him to cease when an image of her warm smile flashed before his dark eyes, beholding his ruddy, murky vision.
His ragged breathing came to a normal pace. His mid-shift was starting to evolve back to his human form. The grim prospect of annihilation for his pack came to a halt.
"Your Hi-Highness," she stammered, and she bowed submissively.
He looked down at her coldly. The thought that his rogue mate had challenged one of his warriors almost made him go berserk.
