*DREAM*
The leaves crunched under my feet as I walked down the forest path. The path that was so familiar that I knew exactly where it was going. Everything felt so peaceful around me. The birds were chirping merely as they flew in and out of the trees in the sunlight while the wind blew the leaves, bringing the fragrance of the forest with it. I inhaled deeply and I released it on a contented sigh.
I knew it was a dream. Strangely enough almost all of them in this same forest except this time I wasn’t being chased. At least not yet. I walked further down the path until a crunching of leaves other than my own met my ears. I stopped in my tracks and so did the other.
