Professor Lakewood believed she had reached the peak of her life. She had all she’d envisioned while growing up. A perfect family life. Her work, amazing and her social life was okay (that aspect never mattered that much to her anyway) she only kept friends of relevance. Her family and work where her central pillars.
She was at a stage where she only experienced comfort and prosperity. At this point nothing could go wrong. Everything was great, at least that’s what she believed.
Yet…all it took was one call from her sons’ kindergarten teacher to unravel her said ‘perfect’ life. Let’s not add the red post it note stuck to the fridge that sealed her fate.
Rain Stourton goes by life, nothing exciting her anymore. From an early age, her life had been planned out for her. Even with her parents long gone she still had follow their set ambition for her. Not stray from it, and her older brother was around to ensure that.
Her family had given her all she’d ever wanted and more yet her life still felt bare. All that remains is to finish her studies and join her elder brother in running their publishing firm, Stourton Inc.
But on a whim, she offers her help to her distraught lecturer unaware how this would alter both their lives. Rain never would have thought the staunch Professor would bringing meaning and happiness she thought unattainable. Open up a world of endless happily ever after opportunities.
