Chapter 5 Charles liked cactuses. He didn't know why, he just did. He liked tall saguaro with their spindly arms c****d to the sky. He liked tiny flowering echinopsis with their short-lived but fragrant blooms, and the fragile cholla, which drew the eyes to its unexpected beauty. His favorites were Christmas Cactuses, the lovely echlumbergera, with their blood red blooms. He kept a small one potted on his dashboard, and thought he'd like to take a little time while they were passing through Colorado to dig up a few new ones.
