Chapter nine

"Wait what?" I asked coming to a halt and looking at him with a raised eyebrow
"Does it seem like a bad idea?"
"You literally asked your mate's little sister to be your lover, doesn't that seem to be I don't know weird and cringe?"
" Huh, I didn't think of it that way," he said looking like he was deep in thought until, "But I --- we don't really have to do what lovers d----"
" Benson," I cut him off both my hands on my hips, "what is your plan huh, are you trying to make my sister and the whole pack hate me even more than they do? Or are are just using me to cheat on my sister?"
" That's not----"
" Then what is it? First you act like you deeply care about me and even take me on a ice cream date and now you are suggesting that I become your lover are you okay up in your head or what?"
" You know what," he took a step back, "all I wanted was to be by your side just to make Claudio jealous but just forget I suggested it alright. Good luck trying to deal with him cheating on you!"
He turned around and walked off leaving me standing there.
'I can't believe he just asked me to be his lover,' I muttered under my breath proceeding to my class.
"Neither can I," Lyca added, "we should stop talking to him less he turns Phoebe against you,"
" You are right," I affirmed entering the class.
Once I sat down,
"Hey Angel," I looked up only to see the same girl Angela standing right Infront of me.
"Can I sit next to you!" She cheerfully asked.
I nodded my head and she quickly sat down setting her books on the table.
"I've never seen you in this class," I said looking at her and carefully assessing her trying to find out who she was and why she was suddenly being friendly.
"Oh yeah I got transfered here yesterday. My other class was absolutely boring and so I chose this one. Atleast it's quiet and less dramatic," she giggled lightly.
" By the way, we didn't really get to talk much yesterday," added turning her whole body and facing me.
"I'm not interested," I cut her off my eyes fixed on her.
" What? Why not?" she asked with her brows knitted together in confusion and sadness.
"I love being alone,"
"No one loves being alone," she spoke in a serious tone all the cheerfulness that was on her face vanishing into thin air.
"I've been watching you ever since I came to this school and I'm sorry to say this but you are by far one of the loneliest wall flower I've ever seen, "
" So what? You came because you think I'm lonely and you want to keep me company? Well guess what, I'm not lonely at all and perfectly ---"
Without warning, she wrapped her arms aound me completely silencing me.
"What are you doing?" I asked trying to push her off but she didn't budge and clung on to me like a second skin.
"It's illegal to hug someone without consent you know," I said but she responded,
" Shhh, enjoy the hug honey, you deserve to feel loved and to know that someone cares," she softly spoke.
I wanted to try and push her off again but knowing that she wasn't going to let me go anytime soon, I decided to just relax and enjoy the hug plus it's the first time someone has actually hugged me except the Luna off course.
After a few seconds, she pulled away and warmly smiled at me pushing a few hair strands behind my ear.
"You are really pretty you know and I didn't approach you because I feel you are lonely but because I've noticed that you are the most amazing person ever. You don't entertain drama and you're so focused on your studies that's one thing I like about you,"
" Um," I shyly looked away not knowing how to respond
no one had ever said that to me before.
"Don't fall for it!" Lyca suddenly popped up in my head, "She's probably friends with your enemies and is planning on throwing you in the ditch like the rest of them. Maybe she's on a mission!"
I looked at the girl and she still had the same smile on her which looked too cute to be real.
"You think she's a two faced liar," I asked Lyca.
" I don't think but I know so, we've never seen her before and her scent is one that I've never smelt in the school hallways. I smell a trap,"
" Don't worry, "I said to her, "I will not fall for these cheep tricks again. I will play along until I know what her plan is,"
" Good idea?" Lyca responded and retreated back.
" You were talking to your wolf?" the girl said looking at me.
" Um yeah,"
"I wish I had one," she lightly chuckled
" You don't?" I asked giving her my full attention.
"No I'm not a werewolf sadly, I am a ----"
" Settled down students," the teacher randomly said walking into class
"Let's focus on class," Angela said, turning her attention to the teacher while I fixed my eyes on her taking my sweet time to carefully look at her.
She had jet black hair and a perfect round face with brown eyes. She looked adorable and didn't seem like the type to hurt me but I didn't lower my guard. Not every innocent face is innocent.
Shaking mt head I focused on the lesson which was hella boring
I decided to look at Angela hoping that she was paying attention only to
find her looking at me. She quickly averted het gaze and awkwardly shifted in her seat while scribbling random stuff in her note book.
That's strange why was she staring at me?
I decided to just forget about it and focus on the teaching but each time I would look her way, I would find her already looking at me and she would avert her gaze the moment I would catch her in the act.
The lesson came to an end and she was quick to pack her stuff but before she left,
"Wait," I said holding her arm,
"Yes angel," she widely smiled looking at me.
" Who are you? Why were you staring at me like that?"
"Oh it's nothing I just, it's nothing at all!"
" No tell me," I pressed on, " why did you suddenly want to become my friend?"
" Well it's just -----""
"I won't let go until you tell Mre and since you've been watching me for a while now I'm pretty sure you know that I'm hella strong,"
" Well ---- well oh look it's a flying cow!"
" Where?" I asked looking out the window trying to see the flying cow.
"There is no----" I paused when I saw her run out of the classroom living me seated there.
"Can't believe you fell for that," Lyca teased cackling like a Hyena.
" Shut up!" I said packing up my books and walking out of class going straight to my locker.
After stuffing all my stuff inside, I walked over to the cafeteria, grabbed a bite then sat down on my favourite spot by the window that faced the woods.
"Can I sit here?" Angela said popping out of nowhere and sitting down before I could even tell her to sit.
"These fries are so good," she spoke with a mouth full of fries and I couldn't help but giggle at how silly she looked with both her cheeks swelled with the food. She literally looked like a squirrel trying to stuff nuts in it's mouth.
"Sorry I didn't mean to be all disgusting," she said after she swallowed the food.
"Don't worry I've seen weirder stuff,"
"Glad I can be my self with you," she smiled brightly, " I don't like hiding myself to go it the norm here. Everyone just expects us to be perfect and I don't like it!"
" Tell me about it," I said taking a bite out of my burger.
"Can we hang out after school? I want to know more about you," she said Finishing up her fries and biting down on the fried chicken
"After school?" I thought about it for a moment and it didn't seem like a bad idea.
She's probably after something but I wouldn't mind playing along and atleast she will entertain me enough to forget about Claudio and Ashley.
"If you don't want to then it's fine I will----"
"After school sounds great," I said with a smile
" Really okay I will wait for you outside by the car pack after school! See you new friend," She stood up and after giving me a last hug, walked off leaving me sitting there.
The rest of the school day passed by in a blur with me not seeing both Claudio and Benson
"Do you think he's still upset with me?" I asked Lyca while walking out of the school building.
"It's possible but you didn't do anything wrong he was wrong to asked that she piped in.
"Hey bestie, over here!" I looked at the source of the voice and it was Angela she stood besides an expensive and fancy looking car.
"Woah is that yours?" I asked staring at it
" What? The car? Oh no it's not mine. I use these when going home," she added pointing at her feet.
" Oh me too!" I said both of us laughing.
" So where are we going to hang out? Your place or mine?" she asked
" Mine," I quickly suggested.
If she had bad intentions then being at her place would be dangerous so my place is safer.
"No problem then,"
I led the way to the pack with her being chatty and telling me all about her family.
She's the first born and had a little sister Claire
As soon as I invited her inside the pack house, all eyes were on us including the couple that I badly didn't want to see, Claudio and Annoying Ashley who as usual was clinging on to his arm.
"Who is that girl and why is she hunging with a ghost? Doesn't she knows the rules?" Amanda was the first to speak.
