How do I tell everyone that Julia isn’t going to stay? That I have signed a damned CONTRACT stating that I have to let her and Rowan go back to the Emerald Kingdom in six months? I can’t tell anyone about that, so that is my plan. Just don’t tell them.
If everyone knows about the contract and they suspect that she has no intention of staying, they will treat her with suspicion and disdain, which will not help to convince her to stay. They are already going to be suspicious of her absence for the last three years. Thank the goddess the kid looks like me, so there won’t be any gossip in that quarter.
