OLIVER
It was so nice to see Morgan again, only Madison knows how much I’ve missed her.
She hasn’t changed at all, still the same cheerful and wild girl she was back then. And she looked even more beautiful than ever.
As soon as we arrived, I parked my truck in an available spot and walked into the hospital. I led Morgan to Madison’s room and opened the door for her. She went in first and her reaction of seeing her sister again was priceless.
All she could do was freeze in place for a minute and when Madison looked at her, her tears quickly rolled down her cheeks as she stretched her arms for Morgan to hug her.
She didn't hesitate to run to her sister and take her in her own arms. They were both full of joy, and even though the circumstances were not the best, they were happy to see each other again after so long.
The sight was overwhelming. They had finally reunited, and I hoped she came back to stay. It would be great for her family, and I had to admit, for me as well. Seeing how much they needed it, I decided to give them their privacy.
“I’ll wait outside to give you time to catch up,” I said. Morgan turned around and frowned, as if not wanting me to leave
“You don’t have to leave. You’re always welcome. We’re friends, right?” she asked and I nodded, sitting down on the couch near the bed just to admire them, but mostly to admire Morgan. Oh, how beautiful she was.
She was all woman.
Her body was like a guitar waiting to be played, her eyes were like two stars in the sky and her hair looked so soft, I had to fight the urge to run my fingers through those strands.
Of course she would have someone in her life. A woman as beautiful as her couldn’t stay single for long. I just hope he’s respecting her and treating her like a queen because I know I would.
“Oliver, are you okay?” Madison asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked at her and nodded slowly, giving her a faint smile.
“Yes, I’m fine, just a little tired. I helped your dad with the cattle this morning,” I replied, trying to get comfortable on the couch. I laid down and as I was about to cover my face with my arm, I noticed her looking down at me, curiously.
She still knew me well and knew I had something in my mind.
“Are you sure that’s it?” she asked, crossing her arms on her chest, not believing a word I said.
“Yes, totally sure,” I lied. I put my hat on my face and took a small nap while waiting for them to catch up.

MORGAN
I still didn’t believe that Oliver was fine. He was deep in thought and I knew him very well despite being away for so long. He would have a frown on his face every time he had something in his mind.
I tried to get it out of him, but he wouldn’t budge, so I decided to leave it like that.
Visiting hours were over, and Frank, whose name I remember well, pulled me away to his office to explain everything to me. I wanted to help my sister as much as I could, and I hoped everything would turn out okay.
“We’ll need to make some lab tests to confirm compatibility for you to be able to donate your bone marrow,” he said.
I nodded, ready to do anything to help my sister. Oliver sat next to me, showing his support to the both of us. It felt so great to have him here.
As soon as we finished talking to him, he gave me an appointment for the next day before we left the hospital and headed home.
“I know it’s late, but I was wondering if you wanted to stop by and have a drink. Well, with the test tomorrow you probably will have soda or water, no alcohol for you missy,” he chuckled and shook my head, letting out a small chuckle as well.
“It sounds good, that way we can catch up a little more,” I replied, not being able to take my eyes off him.
My smile faded and I couldn't help but keep staring at him like a high school girl with a crush. He had changed a lot. Now he’s not the silly kid I knew back then, he was all man. Tall, hot and sexy man.
We headed to the bar near the house and he parked his truck before getting out and opening the door for me.
“What a gentleman,” I teased, making him blush.
Going in, we realized it would be hard to find a seat since it was crowded. These people loved their drinks and sports. After a few minutes, Oliver found a spot at the bar and we sat down, ordering drinks and snacks at the bartender.
“I’m really glad you’re back, Morgan. It hasn’t been the same without that cheerful and adventurous soul in the ranch,” he mentioned, lifting his beer for a toast.
I smiled at the compliment. He was right, I was the life of the ranch, and possibly the town. A small girl, cheering up whoever was sad, and always exploring around.
“To be honest, I’m glad to be back too, even if it’s just for a few weeks,” I told him, toasting before taking a sip of my club soda.
I looked up at his face and he was just looking down at his drink, deep in thought again. After gulping down his beer, he just took a deep breath and shook his head with a big smile.
"Yes, only if it is for a week, and you will have to take advantage of that," he replied. He called the bartender, asking for another beer.
“You should probably stop. Lets just go home okay?" I put my hand on his arm and with his own hand he grabbed mine, giving it a kiss on the knuckles.
"Yes, miss. As you wish" he said and we both smiled at each other, deciding to go back home.

It was morning, and the time for my appointment. I sat on the chair, waiting for Frank to come in with the results as I fidgeted with my hands, praying that I was compatible. A few minutes later, he walked in with a big smile on his face.
“I’ve got good news, Morgan. You’re compatible with your sister, and you’re able to donate the bone marrow,” he said.
“Really?” I asked, smiling myself. I would be able to help my sister get better.
They proceeded to prepare me for the surgery along with my sister. It was a quick decision.
In the operation room, the nurses put me to breathe through the mask and before I knew it, I was out.
