The next few days are as normal as ever, but I can't stop thinking about Atticus.

Maybe it's because I'm boy deprived or because he was so good looking, but he's constantly on my mind.

I sigh as I make yet another coffee.

"What's wrong?" Mia asks gently. Mia is my sweet assistant. She helps me with whatever I don't have time to do, like baking for the following day, and helping me over the rush lunch hour when there's too much work for one person.

I shrug. "Nothing really." I don't want her to pity me.

"Aw come on! Maybe I can help you." Mia urges.

I sigh again. Maybe she's just the person I should open up to. 

She is super sweet, and she could be a real friend to me. She also moved alone to London, coming originally from Japan and moving to Europe to study.

I decide to take the plunge. "Fine. About a week ago, as I was leaving the shop one night, I bumped into the most beautiful man."

I see her honey brown eyes light up in expectation.

"Nothing happened!" I throw in hastily, "but, it got me thinking. I love living here and its every one of my dreams come true, but I've lost every ounce of fun and excitement in my life since moving here."

I sit down on my bar stool behind the counter and put my chin into my hands, my elbows propped up on the counter. "I need to start getting out again, and not spend every bit of my free time holed up in my apartment alone."

When I look up at her, I'm relieved to see that instead of a look of pity on her face, there's a comforting smile. "This is my moment to shine." She says with a grin on her face.

"I am the queen of fun and excitement," she says when she sees my look of confusion, "which you wouldn't know since you're the queen of staying at home and never agreeing to do anything with me outside of work."

Wow, I really have sunken low. 

"Well, now is your chance to show me what I've been missing." I say.

She claps her hands in excitement. "So tomorrow night?" 

My heart jumps slightly but I nod.
